Manna for Your Morning

(‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭‭34‬ ‭LSB) Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude. Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign LORD rescues us from death. But God will smash the heads of his enemies, crushing the skulls of those who love their guilty ways. (Psalms 68:19-21 NLT)  Luke 24:47 (NLT) says: There is forgiveness of sins for ALL who repent. “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near....

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. — Philippians 4:8 (NASB1995) What we let our minds dwell on, is very important. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. What fills our mind will eventually fill our heart and then come out of our mouth. Philippians 4:8 (AMP) says: …if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. In Yeshua, we have plenty of praiseworthy things that can fill our minds. Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. — Philippians 4:8 (MSG)

He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support. — 2 Samuel 22:18-19 (NKJV) When the enemy attacks, know that the LORD is your support and the day of your deliverance is near. The Message Bible says, God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight. My God—the high crag where I run for dear life, hiding behind the boulders, safe in the granite hideout; My mountaintop refuge, he saves me from ruthless men. (2 Samuel 22:2-3) Call on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and take shelter in Him. He will deliver you from the hand of your enemies and out of all your troubles.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. — Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) Instead of focusing on the bad reports and negative news, let’s fix our minds on the good report. Jesus is the truth (John 14:6); anything that contradicts Jesus is a lie. Fill your minds with things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Where your mind goes, your emotions and will tend to follow.

“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” — Matthew 7:12 (NLT) Jesus consolidated all the laws into one Golden Rule that is easily understood by all: treat others the way you want to be treated. This is God's way! If you want others to be kind and generous to you, take the initiative and be kind and generous to all. Cheerfully, lend a helping hand to those in need. If you want others to show their appreciation for what you do, show them some appreciation. If you want others to speak well of you, speak positive, praiseworthy words about them. If you want others to show you unconditional love and forgive your mistakes, do likewise. Amen!

Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Philippians 4:8 (The Message) Instead of dwelling on gossip and rumor, let us meditate on what is true, honorable and right. Fill your minds with the good, not the bad; the best and not the worst.
