Keep on Rejoicing

Image
“ Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, keep on rejoicing, so that when His glory [filled with His radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may rejoice with great joy. ” — 1 Peter 4:12-13 (AMP) Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. (Romans 8:18 NLT) In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen. (1 Peter 5:10-11)  “ You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. ”— Psalms 71:20 (NLT)

Rejoicing in Hope

Image
constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], — Romans 12:12 (AMP) Let us constantly rejoice in the hope we have in Christ. This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells], (Hebrews 6:19 AMP) Don't drift and have no doubt, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. (See James 1:6) Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT) Continually seek God's wisdom and guidance and draw your strength from Him.

Hold onto Hope

Image
...constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], — Romans 12:12 (AMP) So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. (Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT) Continually rejoice in the hope we have in Jesus. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God … — Hebrews 6:18a (MSG)

Joy Comes

Image
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. — Psalm 126:5-6 (NKJV) There will be times of weeping, but the tears we sow, will water the seeds and bring forth a harvest of rejoicing. So let the tears flow freely. No matter how our circumstances appear right now, this too shall pass. Those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing (Psalm 126:6 MSG). God blesses you who weep now, for in due time you will laugh (Luke 6:21 NLT). Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 NKJV). Your morning is on the horizon!

From Bitter to Sweet

Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter . — Exodus 15:23 (NKJV) When Moses cried out to the LORD, He showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet (Exodus 15:25). Our heavenly Father is a God of change. He turns our weeping into rejoicing (Psalm 30:5). He turns our mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). If any wrongs that have been done to you made your waters bitter, open wide the channel of your heart and let the LORD's cleansing waters freely flow. They are full of love, forgiveness and strength. He will take those bitter waters and make them sweet.

In Hope, Tribulation & Prayer

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; — Romans 12:12 (NKJV) Let us rejoice in hopeful expectation to see the Lord work in our lives and hearts. As long as our hope is anchored in the Lord Jesus Christ, we will not be disappointed. We can be patient in all kinds of troubles and tribulations, knowing that Jesus has given us the victory. We are more than conquerors! Continue steadfastly in prayer because our help comes from the LORD. Amen!

Reap in Joy!

Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.  — Psalm 126:5-6 (NKJV) To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4). During times of hardship, we may sacrifice, sweat, and tears, but if we persevere through the pain, we shall reap a bountiful harvest with shouts of joy!

Do Not be Silent!

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.  — Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV) Weeping may last for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). If we don't have anything else, we can always rejoice about our salvation. We are saved! The devil can't touch this. Psalm 51:12 says, “ Restore to me the joy of Your salvation .” Give thanks to the LORD and sing praises to Him forever!

Your Strength & Stronghold

And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold. — Nehemiah 8:10 (AMP) Need more joy? Draw closer to our heavenly Father. In His presence is fullness of joy; At His right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11). Delight yourself in the LORD, rejoicing always before Him and your strength will be continually renewed. He will be your stronghold: a fortified place that protects against attack.

Your Sorrow will be Turned into Joy!

Those who cry while they plant will joyfully sing while they harvest. — Psalm 126:5 (GW) To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1). There is a time to plant and a time to harvest. There is a time to weep and a time to laugh. If you are sowing in tears, as you fulfill God purpose in your life, be certain that your time of rejoicing is coming. Amen!

Delight in His Word

Your words were found, and I ate them,  And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;  For I am called by Your name,  O LORD God of hosts.  Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV) When we open our eyes to the Word, we see wonderful things (Psalm 119:18). His Word gives us strength and preserves our lives. Our heavenly Father sends His word out, and it always produces fruit. It accomplishes all He wants it to, and it prospers everywhere He sends it (Isaiah 55:11, NLT). Delight yourself in His Word!

Rejoice in the Morning!

Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:4-5 (NIV) We may cry our eyes out, in the night, but let us rejoice in the morning that we are alive to see the dawn of a new day. It is a sign that we have received brand new compassions from our heavenly Father. We can be joyful knowing that His wonderful favor rests upon us. Praise the LORD!

Favor for a Lifetime

Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:4-5 (NIV) God gives kindness, mercy and favor. His favor surrounds us like a shield. The favor of the LORD, grounds us like a strong mountain. His favor rests upon us and establishes the work of our hands (Psalm 90:17). Enjoy the LORD's favor. We may have seasons of sadness, but they will give way to rejoicing and laughter.

Rejoicing Comes in the Morning

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:4-5 (NIV) Weeping may last through the night but rejoice with the dawn of each new day. Proclaim the unfailing love of the LORD when He wakes you up. The favor of the LORD lasts for a lifetime and He pours out new compassions on you every morning. Glory Hallelujah! With Love, Jackie
