Proclaim His Praises

Image
“God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.’ “Yes, God does these things again and again for people. He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.” — Job‬ ‭33‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ (NLT‬‬) Praise Yahweh for drawing us out of darkness and into His marvelous light! For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. (See 1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV) For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. (See Daniel 6:26-27 NKJV)

Drink Deeply

Image
In that day you will sing: “I will praise you, O LORD! You were angry with me, but not any more. Now you comfort me. See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! — Isaiah 12:1-3 (NLT) In John 7:37-38 (NASB1995), Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”  The invitation to come is for all. Come and drink. With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation. (See Isaiah 12:3 NKJV) Drink deeply and your cup will be filled to overflowing. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name [in prayer].
Make His deeds known among the peoples [of the earth]; Proclaim [to them] that His name is exalted!” Sing praises to the LORD, for He has done excellent an...

He Delights in Lovingkindness

Image
Who is a God like You, who forgives iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold fast to His anger forever because He delights in lovingkindness. — Micah 7:18 (LSB) The lovingkindness of God endures all day long. (See Psalms 52:1) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 LSB) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalms 103:11-12 LSB) The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning... (See Lamentations 3:22-23 LSB). His lovingkindness is better than life. (See Psalms 63:3)  …You, O Lord, are a God compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. (Psalms 86:15 LSB) I will rejoice and be glad in ...

His Plans are Good

Image
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. — Romans 8:28 (AMP) No matter what obstacles or challenges stand before you today, know with absolute confidence that the plans Yahweh has for you are good, not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11) The troubles you see today will come to pass. And our great and mighty God will work everything together for good. Second Corinthians 4:17 (NLT) says: our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares about you. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)

Worship the LORD

Image
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty and majesty of His holiness [as the creator and source of holiness]. — Psalm 29:2 (AMP) Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. (Psalm 95:6-7 NLT) For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being. (Job 12:10) I was reminded this morning, that it is so not about us, but it’s ALL about Him, His will and His wonderful plan that He has for us.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. — Psalm 100:4-5 (NLT)

He is With You

Image
Now, this is what Yahweh says: “Listen, Jacob, to the One who created you, Israel, to the one who shaped who you are. Do not fear, for I, your Kinsman-Redeemer, will rescue you. I have called you by name, and you are mine. When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God, the Holy One of Israel!”  — Isaiah 43:1-3a (TPT) If you are going through deep waters right now, remember Jesus, our Kinsman-Redeemer, is with you and He will rescue you. When you experience rivers of difficulty, He will hold you steady and show you the way through.

He is With You

Image
“ Do not fear, for I am with you …” — Isaiah 43:5 (NASB) When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2 NLT) This is what the LORD says, He who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, (Isaiah 43:16 AMP). We may have to go “through” some stuff but God is faithful to be with us, in it and to provide a way out of it. Amen. “... I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” — Matthew 28:20 (NLT)

See Things from His Perspective

Image
So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. — Colossians 3:1-2 (MSG) The enemy likes to distract us with the difficulties of the day. Don’t fall for his tricks. Keep your eyes on Jesus and what He is doing. See things from God’s perspective. How the world sees you is of no consequence, if you don’t buy into it. When you see things from His perspective, your thoughts about yourself line up with His Word. You are a child of the Most High God. You are loved, chosen, and accepted. You are more than a conqueror! And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. — Psalm 9:10 (NASB)

Beautiful Brokenness

Image
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. — 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT) We can be broken and yet blessed. As we admit our weaknesses to God, He activates His strength in us. The beauty of our brokenness, is that it allows the light of the LORD to work in us and shine through us. Our cracks allow His love, mercy and grace to enter our hearts. The more broken we become the brighter His light can shine. Then when others look at us, they see the greatness and glory of God. The battles we experience, can actually make us better instead of bitter. When you are battered by troubles, let them produce God's best in you, and that is what will come out of you. But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand. (Isaiah 64:8 NASB) My beloved, don’t appraise the masterpiece ...

Be a Friend

Image
and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, — Hebrews 10:24 (AMP) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity (Proverbs 17:17 NIV).  But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Be that friend. The New Living Bible says: Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony . (Colossians 3:13-14 NLT)

Choose the Good Part

Image
She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. — Luke 10:39 (NASB) Don’t be so worried and troubled about many things, like Mary’s sister Martha. Yes, God does speak to us as we hustle and bustle throughout our day, but sometimes we need to step out of the fast lane of life, set aside the distractions and just soak in the Presence of the Lord. And listen for His word. In Luke 10:42, Jesus said, Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage]…(AMP). Cultivating any relationship takes a very special ingredient: TIME. If you have a friend or spouse and you're always engaged in some other activity when you talk to them, it will be difficult to have a strong and close relationship with them. Be still and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10) He is everything you will ever need Him to be and more. He has all the answers you are searching for. He will complete you, if you let Him.

Live IN Him

Image
…for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’  — Acts 17:28 (NKJV) As God sustains us with His breath in our lungs, let us seek to live and move in Him. As we live in the LORD, we will experience the fullness of all He has for us, His peace, joy and love. We will think the way He thinks and our ways will become more like His ways. As we live and move in God, His wonderful plan for our lives unfold and we fulfill our purpose and reach our glorious destiny.

Hope in God

Image
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. — Psalm 43:5 (NIV) We get discouraged when we keep looking at the problems and challenges we face. May we fix our eyes on Jesus, the solution to all of our problems. He is the answer to every question. He holds the key to every closed door. Keep your hope in Him alive! Hope is the anchor of your soul. It will hold you firm and secure in God.

Come Home!

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. — Luke 15:20 (NKJV) After the lost son, wasted his wealth in wild living, he began to be in want. Eventually, he came to himself, and decided to return home (Luke 15:17-18). While he was still a long way off, his father saw him and had compassion. No matter how far you are away from God today, He sees you and has compassion. You are still His son or daughter and He longs to hold you in His arms. Return to who you really are, a child of God. Come home!

Devote Yourself to be Close

“‘... for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?’” declares the LORD. “‘So you will be my people, and I will be your God.’” — Jeremiah 30:21-22 (NIV) When we focus on our sin, our failures and where we miss the mark, those things become bigger in our lives. Let us focus on our great God. Draw near to Him, and build an intimate relationship with Him. The more time we spend with the LORD, the more we become like Him and the things that are not in alignment with His nature will naturally fall out of our lives. Our only desire will be for more of God and not the things that keep us at a distance from Him.

Give it to God

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Our heavenly Father loves you so much He doesn't want you weighed down with worries or all stressed out. He daily carries our burdens for us (Psalm 68:5), if we only let go and give them to God. Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you (Psalm 55:22).

Enjoying Life!

And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past. Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 (NLT) In comparison to the rest of the world, God has blessed the American people with wealth and good health. Let us enjoy the tasks He has given us and be content with where we are during each step of our journey in life. Keep moving forward, while enjoying the present and learning from the past.

He Upholds You

So do not fear, for I am with you;  do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) Have no fear and do not be discouraged because God is your helper. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He holds you up. He is your defender and support. Give thanks to our awesome God.  Love, Jackie
