The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. — Esther 2:17 (NKJV) God placed Esther in position of royalty to save His people. In Esther 4:16, she said: “And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” She was willing to risk her life to plead with the king for her people. When we follow the leading of His Holy Spirit, He will ensure that we are in the proper position at the appointed time to fulfill His purpose and plan. We will be empowered and equipped with everything we need to accomplish the mission. Yahweh is faithful to provide everything we need and He always delivers His people from their enemies. “Who knows if perhaps you are in your current position and place for such a time as this?” (See Esther 4:14)

From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. — Acts 17:26-27 (CSB) Yahweh formed our inward parts. He knit each one of us together in the womb of our mother. (See Psalms 139:13) God has determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our habitation. He intentionally created each one of us with a purpose and good plans. He has placed us and positioned us, on this earth and in His body (the church), for such a time as this. On the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, the edict commanded by the king was to be carried out. On this day the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but now the tables were turned and the Jews got the upper hand over those who hated them. — Esther 9:1 (NIV) Haman, an enemy of the Jews, sought to destroy them, but in the end, he was hung on the gallows he had set for Mordeci, one of the Jews. The king gave the Jews permission to avenge themselves on their enemies and God gave them victory. Esther 8:17 actually says, many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them. You may face a situation that threatens to destroy you, but God can turn the tables around on that situation and put you in a position of power, authority and victory. When others seek to harm you, do not be dismayed. Look to God for help. He can turn the situation around and use it for good, in your life and in the lives of others.

“O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” — 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV) When you face opposition, look to the LORD, the source of our help. In 2 Chronicles 20:17, the people of Judah and Jerusalem were told they would not need to fight in the battle, but to position themselves and they would see the salvation of the LORD. We too must position ourselves for battle. When they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against their enemies and their enemies were defeated. (2 Chronicles 20:22). When opposition comes, let us get in the proper position. Pray and sing praises to the LORD, for the victory He has prepared for us. Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)

“…Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (NKJV) From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. (Acts 17:26 NIV). God determined our appointed time in history, and where we were to live. We are here for a reason. God has a plan and a purpose for each one of us. We are to take the territory He has given us, for His kingdom. The workplace He has called us to, the positions we occupy, and the neighborhoods we live in are to be influenced by the kingdom of God within us. As we let the power of His love work through us, His light shines brightly, beckoning all to come to Him. When we utilize the gifts, talents and resources He has bestowed on us, to enrich the lives of others, He light shines, drawing others to Him, for such a time as this. His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way tow...

So they inquired further of the LORD, “Has the man come here yet?” And the LORD answered, “He is there, hiding himself by the provisions and supplies.” — 1 Samuel 10:22 (AMP) Saul knew God chose him to be king, but he went into hiding instead. Was he afraid to step into the position God had for him? We have all been called by God. He has a plan for each and every person He created. Are you hiding from the call God has on your life? No good soldier of Christ goes UA (unauthorized absence). Don’t let fear keep you from walking in His perfect will and fulfilling the purpose and plans He has for you. Why settle for less, when God offers you the absolute best? Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. ( Ephesians 4:1 NLT )

You must not fear them, for the LORD your God Himself fights for you.’ — Deuteronomy 3:22 (NKJV) Have no fear of the giants that stand before you. Mountains are molehills to our great God.  So don’t be discouraged by the fiery trials and tribulations that come, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Second Chronicles 20:17 says, You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you…   For victory and success in the battles of life, humble yourself under His mighty hand, keep your heart in a position of prayer, and stand on His Word.

So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him . — Genesis 6:22 (NLT) Then God blessed Noah and his sons... — Genesis 9:1 (NLT) When God told Noah to build an ark, he did according to all that God commanded him. His obedience put him in the right position for God’s protection. Can you imagine if Noah had kept putting off building the ark until the rain started to fall? It would have been too late. Or what if he had given up when others mocked him for building a boat in the middle of the desert? Even though there was no sign of a storm, Noah believed God and obeyed His instruction. As a result, him and his family were saved. And his obedience also preserved the human race. The commands of our heavenly Father are not about restrictions. God is not trying to keep us from something, as much as He is trying to get us TO something. His guidance and direction are for our protection and well-being. By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. Will you leave the known and familiar to journey toward what God has yet to reveal? It’s only when we faithfully follow God that we are in position to enjoy the fullness of His Presenc e and receive the complete inheritance that He has for us. Say “Yes!” to Him today. Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations—the City designed and built by God (Hebrews 11:10 MSG). So don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix your gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) Sometimes we struggle because we are trying to do things in our flesh. As we submit to God and allow His Holy Spirt to work in us and through us we have peace. We accomplish things of eternal value, not by might nor power, but by His Holy Spirit. In 2 Chronicles 20:17, the LORD said His people, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you,” We have to get ourselves in the right position, as the Holy Spirit leads us, but the battle belongs to the LORD (1 Samuel 17:47).

Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words. — Daniel 10:12 (AMP) In order to gain understanding, we have to set our minds on the Word of God and how to apply it to our lives. We must set our hearts on seeking the LORD and His specific will. To set means: to put, lay, or stand something in a specified place or position. When we begin a journey, we set a GPS to direct us to our desired destination. Likewise, we should also purposefully position ourselves in a posture of prayer and consistently meditate on His wonderful Word, and wait to receive direction from our heavenly Father. Then, like Daniel,  we open the door to receive visions of our future and the intervention of angelic beings.

“Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”  — 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV) When the people of Judah were being pursued by their enemies, the LORD told them, the battle was not theirs. Are you trying to fight battles, God will fight for you? God's people were told to position themselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD (2 Chronicles 20:17). The LORD set ambushes against their enemies and they were defeated. If you want to be victorious in the battles you face, MAINTAIN your POSITION in the LORD. Be wherever He has directed you to be. Be humble and worship Him in all that you do (2 Chronicles 20:18). Stand by and see the LORD deliver you!
