Taste & See

Image
“O taste and see that Yahweh is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” — Psalms 34:8 (LSB) Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. (Psalms 34:9-10 NLT) The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. ...He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalms 34:7, 91:11 LSB) “I will bless Yahweh at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in Yahweh; The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt His name together.” (Psalms 34:1-3 LSB)  For Yahweh is good; His lovingkindness endures forever and His faithfulness, generation unto generation. (Psalms 100:5 LSB)

See Clearly

Image
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, — Romans 1:20-22 (NASB1995) May you have eyes that see clearly, and a heart that seeks to know Him. Honor God, Who is worthy of all our praise, and give thanks to Him for all He has done, is doing and will do. For behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what are His thoughts, He who makes dawn into darkness and treads on the high places of the earth, the LORD God of hosts is His name. (Amos 4:13 NASB1995) Seek the LORD of hosts that you may live. (See Amos 5:4) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entire...

Get in Position

Image
And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich. Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. — Luke 19:2-4 (NASB1995) May we be like Zaccheus, and intentionally get in the right place in order to see and hear Jesus clearly. Remove all distractions, and clear out any debris cluttering your mind. Let us bow down and have the posture of a humble heart. You will seek Him and find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. (See Jeremiah 29:13) When Jesus came by, He looked up and said, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly. (See Luke 19:5-6) Receive Jesus gladly, into your thoughts, into your heart, and into your home. And respond to His Presence. Be like the people in Luk...

Stop & See

Image
“ Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth. ” — Psalm 46:10 (TPT) Surrender to God your thoughts, your will and your emotions. Present your body to Him as a living and holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1). Be still and silent before Him. Know, recognize, and understand that He is the Most High God. He comforts us in all our troubles and affliction (2 Corinthians 1:4). When others abandon us, He is our constant Companion. He strengthens us when we are weary. He takes our brokenness and makes us whole. In times of doubt and confusion, He brings clarity and gives direction. He reveals destiny and purpose. He is the Light of the world. Everyone who believes in Jesus will not remain in darkness (John 12:46). He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. (Psalm 103:3) He redeems our lives from the pit (Psalm 103:4). He reveals truth and sets the captives f...

It Won't be Long

Image
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! — 1 Corinthians 13:12 (MSG) We don't completely understand a book, until we have read the last chapter. What we see now is partial and incomplete. But one day we will know everything completely. Then we will know fully just as we also have been fully known by our heavenly Father. What we can do now, is continue to praise the Lord Most High. Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. (Jude 24-25 NLT)

FOCUS

Image
So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes. All of that is fleeting; it will eventually fade away. Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on. — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (VOICE) Don’t look at the things which we can see with our natural eyes, for the things which are visible are temporary. Instead let us focus our attention on the things which are invisible, for they are everlasting and imperishable. Fix your eyes on our great God. May we have eyes to see His amazing love and great grace. “ Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory. ” — Isaiah 6:3 (NASB)

Entrust Your Life to Him

Image
Then the woman left her water jar, went into town, and told the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” They left the town and made their way to him. — John 4:28-30 (CSB) We can listen to what others say about Jesus or we can make our way to Him and get to know Him for ourselves. Jesus desires a personal relationship with you. He knows about you, inside and out. Make it a priority to draw near to Him every day. The Message Bible says: A lot more people entrusted their lives to him when they heard what he had to say. They said to the woman, “We’re no longer taking this on your say-so. We’ve heard it for ourselves and know it for sure. He’s the Savior of the world!” (John 4:41-42) Know for sure, that Jesus gave His all to save you. He came that you may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP)

Wait to See

Image
I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint. — Habakkuk 2:1 (NLT) Instead of getting anxious and fearful in response to a bad report from the enemy, look with eyes of faith to our heavenly Father. We can fully enjoy His Presence and remain in His peace, as we fully rely on the LORD. He will keep in perfect peace, all whose mind is stayed upon Him. So now, take your stand and see the great things which the LORD will do before your eyes. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:7-8 NKJV) We can rejoice knowing that with God on our side, nothing can stand against us.

Open My Eyes

Image
When Elisha’s servant arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” (2 Kings 6:14-15) So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. — 2 Kings 6:16-17 (NKJV) When you wake up in the morning and it seems like the enemy has you surrounded, remember,  there are more on our side than on theirs! Greater is the One in us than he who is in the world. Do not fear, for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11) The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. (Psalm 34:7) I pray the LORD open your eyes that you may see with eyes of faith...

One Thing I Know

Image
He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” — John 9:25 (NKJV) Jesus passed by a man who had been born blind. Before meeting Jesus, this man had lived his life in total darkness. He never knew what it was like to watch the sunset or look upon the face of his mom and dad. We too once dwelt in darkness, unable to see the light of the truth. And just as Jesus loved the blind man too much to leave him in the same condition, He loves us too. When Jesus touches our lives with His compassion and grace, we are transformed. Know that God loves you. He is on your side and nothing is too difficult for Him. No matter what you are going through, the work of God will be revealed. He will work it all things together for good.

Believe & See

Image
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”  — John 11:40 (NIV) Don’t ever stop believing in God and all of the wonderful promises He has spoken to you. No challenge that stands before you today is too big for our great and mighty God. Keep believing and you will see the fulfillment of every promise. He delivers us from all our troubles. Praise the LORD! “‘“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ — Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV)

Come & See

Image
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. — Psalm 66:5 (NKJV) See His mighty arms that carry you through each trial and temptation. He has your name tattooed on His hand. You are the apple of His eyes and they sparkle with love for you. See His ears; they are always listening for the cry of your voice. Notice the smile on His face because the LORD takes pleasure in His people (Psalm 149:4). His heart beats with compassion for all people —the weary, the downtrodden, the lost, the found, the confused and the crazy. Now take a closer look. He is right there, beside you, ready to show you the wonderful things He is going to do in your life in the coming year. Put your hand in His and let Him lead the way.

Are You a God-Seeker?

Image
Young lions on the prowl get hungry, but God-seekers are full of God. — Psalm 34:10 (MSG) Those who seek the LORD and His will, with all their heart, find Him and walk in His ways. They shall not lack any good thing. No matter how many troubles you face, the LORD comes to the rescue each time (Psalm 34:19, NLT). Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him (Psalm 34:8, MSG).

He Sees You Too!

Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”  — John 1:48 (NKJV) No matter what you are under today, Jesus sees you too! Don't think He has forgotten about you. The Lord is aware of whatever weighs heavy on your heart. He knows every situation you face and He was there before you even knew it was coming. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all (Psalm 34:19). And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Persevere and let God perfect that which concerns you. He will take all your pain and suffering and use it to fulfill a higher purpose and bring glory to His kingdom. Amen!

Take Refuge in Him!

O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. Psalm 34:8-9 (NAS) The goodness of the LORD is sweeter than honey. His kindness is the most beautiful thing our eyes can look upon. Take refuge in Him and you will experience the wonderful blessings of abiding in His loving Presence. God honors those who truly honor Him, and they lack nothing.

Wait and See

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint. Habakkuk 2:1 (NLT) After you have made your requests to the Lord, wait and see what the He says. Earnestly seek our wise God with your questions, concerns and desires. He will hear and answer you with the heart of a loving and faithful Father. Just patiently wait upon the Lord.

Taste & See

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Psalm 34:8 (The Message) Take a moment to reflect on how good God has been to you. Think about how far He has brought you and all the things He has carried you through. God gave us the strength to endure those days that were absolutely unbearable, the times we no longer cared if we lived or died. God is so good. He is faithful and true. He loves you and everyday, He renews His compassions. Blessed are all who come to Him. With Love, Jackie
