Call on The Name

Image
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him, for “Whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” — Romans 10:12-13 (LSB) …this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below— blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.’” (Acts 2:16-21 NLT) “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be save...

Why are you troubled?

Image
“And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” — Luke 24:38 (NKJV) Why are you troubled? In John 14:27 (TPT) Yeshua said: “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NASB1995) Have no doubt. ...despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:37 NLT)

He is with You

Image
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:10 (NASB1995) When you go through deep waters, Yahweh will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (See Isaiah 43:2 NLT) This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. (Isaiah 48:17 NLT) Keep your ears tuned in to His still small voice. Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. (Isaiah 30:21 NLT)

Never Give Up

Image
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! — 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (NLT) Our temporary, outer self may be wasting away, but praise YAHWEH, our inner self is being renewed day by day! Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. (Galatians 6:9 AMP) The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9 NLT) For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! (Romans 8:18 AMP)  I look forward to what’s in store for me: a crown of righteousness that the Lord—the always right and just judge—will give me that day (but it is not only for me, but for a...

Seek the LORD

Image
The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. — Psalm 14:2 (NLT) True wisdom comes in continually seeking the LORD and His will. Those who [diligently] seek Him and require Him [as their greatest need] will praise the LORD.
May your hearts live forever! (See Psalm 22:26 AMP) Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. (Psalm 105:4 AMP) I heard your voice in my heart say, “Come, seek my face;” my inner being responded,“Yahweh, I’m seeking your face with all my heart.” — Psalm 27:8 (TPT)

Release & Receive

Image
Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). — Psalm 55:22 (AMP) May we clear away all the clutter in our hearts and the cares of this world. As we release our concerns and burdens, we become vessels that are able to receive. Our heavenly Father will fill you with His love, peace and joy. Be filled with His Spirit and you will be empowered to share all that you receive with those around you.

Peace at All Times

Image
You will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in You, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to You. — Isaiah 26:3 (VOICE) We will only abide in peace to the degree that we place our trust in the LORD. The enemy steals our peace when we meditate on challenging situations and difficult circumstances. This leads to frustration, fear, and hopelessness. Dedicate your heart and mind to the LORD. When what we see does not line up with the Word of God and His wonderful promises, we must make a decision to keep our trust in God and stand on His Word. Depend on God and keep at it because in the Lord God you have a sure thing (Isaiah 26:4 MSG). So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! (Hebrews 10:35 NLT) Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with...

The LORD is Near

Image
The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. — Psalm 23:1-3 (AMP) Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 NLT) No matter how dark the valley we go through, we never have to fear because the LORD is near. And the power of His perfect love casts out all fear.

This is the Day!

Image
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.  — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) This day has already been written in God’s book for your life. (Psalm 139:16) The fact that He woke you up this morning, means He has something for you to do today, places for you to go and people you are to meet. We are here for such a time as this. If you’re living your life in Christ, you are power-packed, strengthened and equipped to accomplish all that He has planned for you today. As you go, let His love and light shine through you, in action and in speech, and others will be drawn unto Jesus, our mighty Savior. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. (Jeremiah 31:3)

Unshakable & Assured

Image
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward… — 1 Samuel 16:13 (NKJV) After David was anointed to be the next king over Isarael, he ended up being on the run for his life. In 1 Samuel 19:2, Jonathan told David, “My father Saul seeks to kill you.”  David had to live as a fugitive and hide out in caves before he reigned as king. After God has given you a word or revelation of your purpose or destiny, know that you will encounter challenges and experience difficulties. But, no wicked scheme of the enemy can thwart the wonderful plans of our great God. The accomplishment of the dream comes with much effort. Jesus said, “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:33 MSG). He is greater. Amen!

He is Faithful

Image
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. — Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father is faithful. He watches over His Word and performs it. It never returns to Him void. When He says He will be with us always, not a moment goes by that He is not there. When He says nothing can separate us from His love, we never have to feel unloved or forgotten. Because His Word says, He has already given us the victory, we can rejoice. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35 NLT).

A Greater Power

Image
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said. — 2 Chronicles 32:7-8 (NIV) So the LORD sent an angel and saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of their enemies. He took care of them on every side (2 Chronicles 32:21, 22). May we be strong and courageous, because there is a far greater power with us. The LORD our God is with us to help us and take care of us. Our battles belong to the LORD! Give thanks to God, who always leads us in triumph, in Christ!

Have Hope!

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. — Romans 15:4 (NKJV) The Scriptures, even though inscribed long ago, were written for us. They were written to give us hope and encouragement. In the Word, we can see the faithfulness of God. We see that even though God’s people endured and persevered through all kinds of difficult situations, God faithfully brought them through and gave them double for their troubles, many times over. Let us heed the words of Joshua 1:8 and never let the Book depart from our mouths, and consistently meditate in it day and night, so that we may observe to do according to all that is written in it. Then we will make our way prosperous, and then we will have good success and a living hope.

Joyful & Glad of Heart!

On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the LORD had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel. — 2 Chronicles 7:10 (NKJV) Let us be joyful and glad of heart for all the good the LORD has done for us. Isaiah 61:10 says, I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness. Hallelujah! We are so blessed to be children of God. Be glad in the LORD and make a joyful shout to Him, all you saints!

Confident & Unafraid

“Look! God is my Savior.  I am confident and unafraid, because the LORD is my strength and my song. He is my Savior.” Isaiah 12:2 (GW) Trust in the LORD and do not be afraid or discouraged. We can be strong and courageous because the LORD is our strength. And He has given us the victory. Stand firm in your faith and remain confident that you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Got Faith?

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:39-40 (NIV) The disciples became fearful when a storm came up on the lake and woke Jesus up with the accusation that He didn't care. Jesus asked them, "Do you still have no faith?" After all the miracles they had seen, they still lacked faith. They had seen evil spirits cast out, the sick healed, and the paralytic man immediately healed and walked away. After all that God has done in your life, why would you have any doubt that He is working for your good?

Don't be Surprised

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) The Apostle Peter warns us not to be surprised at the fiery trials we go through. Instead, we can rejoice to the extent that we are partners with Christ in His suffering. Likewise, our joy will overflow when His glory is revealed. Love, Jackie

Clothed with Patience?

God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So you should always clothe yourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 (NCV) Yesterday, in my haste to leave the house, I forgot to put on patience. According to my schedule, I could run some errands and head for home in 30 minutes. But God had a different timetable. While stuck in traffic on Interstate 15 for more than 30 minutes, I kept looking at my watch and wondering when traffic was going to start moving. If I had remembered to clothe myself in patience, I would have used that time to pray for those involved in the accident and their families. I would have thanked God for keeping me and my family safe, and my spirit would have been full of peace. Once I made it to a bookstore, I ran into a dear friend I hadn't seen in months. Then, I realized if things had flowed according to my schedule, I would have missed this blessing. Next time you're in a jam, remember you are e...

Family is Forever

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:34-36 (NIV) God adopted us into His family, as His children and heirs (Romans 8:17). The blood of Jesus overrides anything we received in our fleshly bloodlines. We are free from anything that has come down through past generations. We are new creatures in Christ. Glory hallelujah! Jesus said, no one can snatch us out of the Father's hand. God has given us a permanent place in His family. Amen. Love, Jackie
