Manna for Your Morning

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” — Luke 22:31-32 (NKJV) Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you; (1 Peter 4:12 NASB) Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NASB) May your faith not fail in times of trials, troubles, and temptations. Continue to fight the good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith. (See 2 Timothy 4:7 NASB)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. — Ephesians 6:10-11 (NKJV) When we clothe ourselves in the whole armor of God, we have strength to stand firm, against all the schemes and strategies of the devil. It's in the power of His might that we are able to stand. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil prowls  about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) And he comes at the opportune time. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! — Psalm 133:1 (NKJV) Jesus prayed for all believers to dwell together in unity. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me,” (John 17:20-21). Our unity is a testimony to the world. Let us eagerly pursue the things which bring peace and make every effort to be united in love.
