Manna for Your Morning

  “Jeremiah, say to the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: “‘When people fall down, don’t they get up again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back? Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path? Why do the people of Jerusalem refuse to turn back? They cling tightly to their lies and will not turn around. I listen to their conversations and don’t hear a word of truth. Is anyone sorry for doing wrong? Does anyone say, “What a terrible thing I have done”? No! All are running down the path of sin as swiftly as a horse galloping into battle!” — Jeremiah 8:4-6 (NLT) This is what the LORD says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and  you will find rest for your souls." Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV) Each day we face crossroads where we must decide to go along with the world and listen to our selfish, fleshly desires or follow God's way. Today, you will choose whom you serve. It will be evident in your actions and in your speech. Jesus is the Way, the good way. His way is full of light and it leads to everlasting life. When you come to those life-defining moments, choose to go His Way and you will find rest for your troubled soul. Love, Jackie
