Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, — Job 38:1 (LSB) When the storms of life come, continue to trust the God Most High and listen intently for His voice. Your ears will hear sweet words behind you: “Go this way. There is your path; this is how you should go” whenever you must decide whether to turn to the right or the left. (Isaiah 30:21 VOICE) In 1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV), the LORD instructed Elijah to, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. In 1 Kings 19:15-16, the LORD gave Elijah directions on where to go and what to do when he arrived. “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the re...

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… — Job 38:1 (NKJV) Do not fear the storms of life. The storm won't outlast our mighty God. And Nahum 1:3 says, the LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm. His ways our higher than ours. Let what needs to be blown out of your life be carried away. When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NASB) No matter how strong the wind or how hard the shaking, the righteous have an everlasting foundation, Jesus Christ. Build your life on the Rock, and who is a rock, except our God. Trust God and stand on His Word. When all the dust settles, you will still be standing. Proverbs 10:6a (NASB) says, “ Blessings are on the head of the righteous …” Proverbs 10:9a (NASB) goes on to say: He who walks in integrity walks securely … Our God is great and awesome, more powerful than any storm. He is also a loving Father and He always takes care of His children. Amen!

And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. ” Build on the Rock!

Never be Shaken

When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12) The storms of life, come to us all. The Word says "when" the whirlwind passes, not "if". Not only is it going to come. It is also going to pass. The good news for Believers is that we have a strong, immovable foundation, to hold us steady when the winds of adversity blow. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. He Answers

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… — Job 38:1 (NKJV) Who do you call when your back is up against the wall? When you call upon the LORD, you can be confident, that He will answer. In the midst of your storm, listen for His still small voice. Out of the Whirlwind

Image
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… —J ob 38:1 (NKJV) When disaster comes in like a whirlwind, and calamity overtakes you like a storm, know that God is in the whirlwind with you. Let His Presence be your perfect peace, the calm in the eye of the storm. The whirlwind will scatter those things that need to be removed out of your life, and God will carry you through it all. I've heard a song on the radio that says, when your life seems to be falling apart, it is actually coming together. Amen to that!

Yet, I will Rejoice!

Image
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines;  even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) When circumstances appear utterly hopeless, we can still rejoice in the God of our salvation, our protector and provider, knowing that He is working all things together for our good. God’s sovereign rule will prevail in your life. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm (Nahum 1:3), and in any other adverse situation you face. He makes a way where there is no way. Amen!

Look to Your Maker

Image
In that day a man will look to his Maker, and his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel. — Isaiah 17:7 (NKJV) When you are overwhelmed by life’s circumstances, look to your Maker. The LORD displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm (Nahum 1:3 NLT). Let this be the day, you look to your Maker and give pre-eminence to Christ, our Savior. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care (Psalm 95:6-7 NLT).

In the Storm

Image
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. — Nahum 1:3 (NKJV) No matter what storms may come, it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm (Nahum 1:3b NLT). The LORD, makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, (Isaiah 43:16 NASB). And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose ( Romans 8:28). Amen.

Out of the Whirlwind

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, — Job 38:1 (NKJV) In the midst of Job’s suffering: loss of material possessions, poor physical health, marital discord and grieving for his children, the LORD spoke to him.
