Hope & Confidence

Image
This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:5 (NLT) “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT) Set your affections on Yahweh. And keep your hope and your confidence in Him. ...our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. (See 1 Timothy 4:10) I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (Ephesians 3:16:17 NLT)

Help Us

Image
O give us help against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain. Through God we shall do valiantly, and it is He who will tread down our adversaries. — Psalms 60:11-12 (NASB1995) May Yahweh answer you in the day of distress! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May He send you help from the sanctuary and uphold you from Zion! (Psalms 20:1-2 LSB) May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans. We will sing joyously over your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalms 20:4-5, 7 AMP) Praying and trusting Yahweh for victory in whatever trials, troubles and tribulations come your way.

Faithfully Follow

Image
“Praise God, all you peoples. Praise him everywhere and let everyone know you love him! There’s no doubt about it: God holds our lives safely in his hands. He’s the one who keeps us faithfully following him.” — Psalms 66:8-9 (TPT) For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, yet You brought us out into a place of abundance. (Psalms 66:10,12 NASB1995) Let us faithfully follow Yahweh, no matter what set of circumstances come our way. We may have to go through the fire and floodwaters, but He is faithful to bring us out on the other side. He crowns the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. (See Psalms 65:11 NLT)

Boast in His Name

Image
Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God. — Psalm 20:7 (NASB1995) Let us not boast about material possessions or our monetary resources. Don’t boast about what you drive nor the location or size of the house you live in. Don’t boast about the letters or titles behind your name. All these things are temporary. Let us boast only in the name of YAHWEH. For the world and all it contains are His. (See Psalm 50:12)  Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from our Heavenly Father. (See James 2:17) He is the everlasting God. Elohim, Creator of the universe and all it contains. He is the only true and living God, full of grace and mercy. The LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (See Proverbs 2:6) All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves. (See Psalm 94:4) But let us boast in the name of Yahweh, that we know Him, and strive to walk with Him all of our days. Boast in the...

Don't Hide

Image
The king said, “Is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet.” — 2 Samuel 9:3 (NASB1995) Mephibosheth was hiding out in Lo-debar but he was brought to King David. David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly.” So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate at the king’s table regularly. (See 2 Samuel 9:7,13 NASB1995) We too have a King who wants to show us the kindness of God. He wants to restore us. Don’t try to hide from God, when we have been invited to dine daily with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Accept the invitation and let Him in. Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him ...

Trust in the Lord

Image
Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. — Proverbs 3:5 (TPT) “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT) Be strong and courageous! Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. (Psalm 37:3, 5 NLT) Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. — Psalm 40:4 (NLT)

Live IN Christ

Image
And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we’ll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives. — 1 John 2:28 (MSG) As followers of Christ, let us live in Him, every moment of every day. The deeper you go, the less likely you are to fall out. In Christ Jesus we have redemption (Romans 3:24), and liberty (Galatians 2:4). There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1) We are to consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11) The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) We who are many, are one body in Christ. (Romans 12:5) We are to dwell together in love, peace and unity. Our victory is in Christ. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ...  — 2 Corinthians 2:14a (NASB)

Each Day a Gift

Image
…all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. — Psalm 139:16 (MSG) God prepared all of our days and recorded them in His book, before we were even born. Each day is a gift from God, and is packaged with purpose and promise. The book of our lives, has many chapters and we go through many stages in life, but we have at least 3 things that are stable and constant. We have the Presence of God, His love for us and His Word. I am so thankful for the 55 years He has allowed me to live on this earth. No matter how old or how young you are, we can ALL praise God that our lives get better and better, as we allow His light to shine brighter and brighter in us and through us. Each one of us can see and reflect the glory of the Lord, as we are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory. Amen! Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts...

Stay with God

Image
The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NLT)   That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. — Psalm 27:5 (MSG)  A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10)  May we delight ourselves in His perfect peace and flawless love. My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” (Psalm 27:8 NLT) I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God. (Psalm 27:13-14 MSG)

Hope in God

Image
Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT) Whatever you do, keep your hope in God alive! Those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NLT) As we wait upon Him, He will show us the right path and lead us with His truth, the Word. He fills our lives with good things and renews our youth like the eagle’s! (Psalm 103:5 NLT)

52 Years Strong!

Image
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. — Romans 8:28 (NLT) What have I learned in 52 years of living? The most important lesson I have learned is that our great big God is indeed good all the time! And He does in fact cause everything to work together for good. All the things I stressed out about, came and went and yet I stand. He faithfully brought me through things I thought I would never make it through. Wherever you are in life, know that He will see you through the good and the bad, the fire and the flood. God’s plans for you are good. As you love God and continue to follow Him, His wonderful plans and purpose for your life will unfold. It may not always be pretty, but it will be powerful!

Do Not Fret

Image
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. — Philippians 4:6 (AMP) Anxiety comes when we allow our thoughts to jump into the future and play out worse case scenarios. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:34 NIV). We enter God’s peace when we dwell in His Presence and stay focused on Him in the moment.

"What Shall I Render to the Lord?"

What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? [How can I repay Him for all His bountiful dealings?] — Psalm 116:12 (AMP) The LORD has dealt so bountifully with us! How could we ever repay Him? What can we give to the LORD? OUR HEARTS. When we give Him our hearts, everything else naturally follows. Let us keep our hearts open to God and let Him perform the delicate surgery of circumcision. Allow Him to cut out of your heart anything and everything that takes you away from Him. As I turn another year older today, all I want is to grow deeper & deeper in love with Him, to get to know Him more and to become more and more like Him. This world has nothing greater to offer. Set your affections on the LORD!

The LORD Directs His LOVE!

By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me—a prayer to the God of my life. — Psalm 42:8 (NIV) The LORD intentionally and purposefully directs His unfailing love upon us, each and every day. There is no shortage of lovingkindness in His storehouse. His compassions never fail! They are fresh and new every morning. His goodness is so great, our hearts burst forth with songs of praise and thanksgiving in the night. Hallelujah!

“Come Close”

So place yourselves under God’s authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you. Come close to God, and he will come close to you. —  James 4:7-8a (GW) God is calling us to come up higher and dwell close to Him. Our heavenly Father wants to be close enough to catch you, if you fall and support you when you are weak. Take refuge in the shadow of His wings and live life above your circumstances. As the psalmist said, “lead me to the rock that is higher than I,” (Psalm 61:2).

Great is His Love

I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead. Psalm 86:12-13 (NIV) Great is God's love toward us. Nothing can ever separate us from His unfailing love. He has delivered us from the depths of hell. He is our helper and our comforter. Praise the LORD with all your heart and give glory to His name forever.

Follow Him

For he held fast to the LORD; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the LORD had commanded Moses. The LORD was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him. 2 Kings 18:6-7 (NKJ) King Hezekiah remained faithful to the LORD in all that he did and he prospered wherever he went. He did not serve man or worship false gods. May we be like King Hezekiah and hold on to the LORD. Faithfully follow Him wherever He leads and you will not be disappointed.

Are You Living a Victorious Life?

The men of Israel were subdued on that occasion, and the men of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers. 2 Chronicles 13:18 (NIV) Despite the fact that there were 800,000 troops fighting for Israel and Judah only had 400,000 fighting men, Judah was victorious because they relied on the LORD. Judah served God and acknowledged Him as their leader. Statistics, probabilities and odds, don't mean a thing when God is in the equation.   Stop trying to do it by yourself. Look to the LORD as Leader in every area of your life, and you will live a victorious life. When we rely on the LORD, we put more faith in Him and His Word than we do in doctor reports, bank statements, negative words spoken to us, and anything else we see with our natural eyes. God makes a way for you that no man can stop. Amen. Love, Jackie
