More with Us

Image
So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” — 2 Kings 6:16 (NKJV) When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. (2 Kings 6:15 NLT). And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17 NKJV) When the enemy seems to be coming at you from all directions, do not fear. There are more with us than with him. And the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). We are on the victorious side! I pray that the LORD would open your eyes to see your situation with eyes of faith. Amen.

Found!

But as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found…  — 1 Samuel 9:20 (NKJV) Saul and his servant went from town to town searching for his fathers lost donkeys. (1 Samuel 9:3-4). Then they decided to see the man of God, so he could tell them which way to go. When they came to the prophet, Samuel told Saul his donkeys were found before Saul had a chance to ask him. What are you anxiously searching for, in place after place or person after person? Whatever you have lost, you will find exactly what you need in our heavenly Father. He is the ultimate Provider. If you are looking for love, peace, joy or hope, look no further. It is found in Jesus. He is our hope and joy. He brings healing and wholeness. He fills our hearts with His love and peace. Jesus is the Way! Be found in Him today.

“It is Well.”

Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.” So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.” — 2 Kings 4:22-23 (NKJV) The son of the Shunammite woman had just sat in her lap and died, and yet she responds to her husband that “It is well.” What living hope, what blind faith, what reliance on God and His extravagant goodness. May we have the eyes to look at adverse circumstances, full of faith. Let us keep our hope alive, and anchored in the LORD, no matter how dead situations may appear to our natural eyes. And may we always trust in God and rely on Him to revive that which seems utterly hopeless. Blessed is the man or woman who trusts in the LORD! (Psalm 34:8)

Go in the Strength You Have!

Image
When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.” — Judges 6:12 (NIV) “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us?” At some point in our lives, many of us have probably asked God this same question. Gideon went on to say that the LORD had abandoned them. But notice that the angel of the LORD didn’t give place to Gideon’s misplaced perspective. The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” (Judges 6:14). Instead of wallowing in self-pity and misery, stay focused on the mission at hand and GO in the strength of the LORD, you mighty man or woman of God. You have been sent with a purpose! The LORD is with YOU!
