John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” — Matthew 11:2-3 (NLT) You can be certain, that we don’t need to look for anyone else. Yeshua is the Messiah, our risen Savior. After John the Baptist baptized Jesus, Matthew 3:16-17 says, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” As he sat in prison, something caused John the Baptist to doubt the Word of Yahweh. Never let difficult circumstances cause you to doubt. Yeshua is the only way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (See John 14:6)

And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” — Matthew 11:2-3 (NKJV) John the Baptist baptized Yeshua. In John 1:15 (NASB), he testified about Him. And in Matthew 3:17 (NKJV), he was there when the Father’s voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” What caused him to doubt if Yeshua was really the One? Did being imprisoned lead him to question the validity of what he previously knew to be true? James 1:6 says: he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (See James 1:8)  Never let your current circumstances, no matter how dismal, lead you down the path of questioning the truth (the Word of God). And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” — Mark 9:7 (NKJV) Let us hear Jesus. In John 14:1, Jesus said “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6) When we believe in Him, we can abide in everlasting peace. In John 14:27 Jesus said, “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ” In John 16:33, He goes on to say, “ In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world .” When He hung on the cross, in John 19:30, Jesus said, “ It is finished! ” May we hear Jesus, and continually walk with Him, taking each step by faith, no matter where He may lead us, knowing that Jesus has already accomplished victory for us.

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” — Matthew 4:16 (NKJV) Just reflecting this morning on how grateful I am that God brought me out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, (Colossians 1:13 AMP) What a privilege for us that God took us out of the domain of darkness, brought us into His Kingdom and adopted us into His family, to enjoy fellowship with Him and our wonderful Savior, Jesus. You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around.
