Truly Honor Him

Image
“For my people are determined to desert me. They call me the Most High, but they don’t truly honor me.” — Hosea 11:7 (NLT) Yahweh is not interested in lip service. Serve Him with a whole heart and a delighted soul; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. (See 1 Chronicles 28:9 LSB) “Even Yahweh, the God of hosts, Yahweh is His name of remembrance. Therefore, return to your God, keep lovingkindness and justice, and hope in your God continually.” (Hosea 12:5-6 LSB)  “…Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.” (See Hosea 10:12 NLT)

Something New

Image
“ Do not call to mind the former things, or consider things of the past. Behold, I am going to do something new, now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. ”  — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB) In Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV), God the LORD says: “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” If we stay focused on our past, we might miss the new things Yahweh is doing in our midst. Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12-14 NASB) Stop holding on to the past and embra...

He is Mindful of Us

Image
But one has [solemnly] testified somewhere [in Scripture], saying, “What is man, that You are mindful of him, or the son of man, that You graciously care for him? — Hebrews 2:6 (AMP) Never listen to the lies of the enemy. Yahweh has not forgotten about you. He has not abandoned you. For He Himself has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless]…” (See Hebrews 13:5 AMP) Yahweh is so attentive to you, He knows how many hairs you have on your head. Take comfort in His Presence and be strengthened. He is with you and His light will guide you in the way you are to go. “Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.” — Psalms 139:17-18 (TPT)

He Stands With You

Image
The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NLT) Everyone may desert you, but always remember, the Lord stands with you. He will strengthen and empower you to do all that He has called you to do. Yeshua, the righteous Messiah is our Advocate and support. And if God is for us, who can be successful against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP) “All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts in Yeshua!” (Mark 9:23 AMP) You can do all things [which He has called you to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers you [to fulfill His purpose... (See Philippians 4:13 AMP)

Surrounded

Image
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. — Psalm 125:2 (NASB) People may desert you, but the Lord will stand with you and give you strength. In His Presence, there is wonder-working power. We are empowered to complete the assignment He has given to each one of us. In His Presence, we have peace, protection and fullness of joy. For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT) Faithfully stand with the Lord, as He stands with you.

He will Make a Way

Image
“ Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) When there seems to be no way out of a challenging situation, you can be certain the LORD will make a way. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. (Samuel 22:33 NKJV) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

The LORD Will Provide

Image
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” — Genesis 22:14 (NKJV) As the Israelites journeyed in the desert for forty years, God provided all they needed. He gave them water from a rock and fed them daily with manna, bread from heaven (Exodus 16:4, 17:6). When they complained about having no meat, He sent quail (Numbers 11:31). In those forty years, their clothes did not wear out nor did their sandals. (Deuteronomy 29:5). The LORD is faithful and He always provides for His people. Take your eyes off of your limited resources, and look to your heavenly Father who loves you. He has an infinite supply, more than enough. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NKJV). No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)

He Makes a Way!

Image
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT) Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. (Lamentations 3:22 NIV). The LORD, makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters (Isaiah 43:16). He even makes a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19). Be strong and courageous! When your situation seems impossible, the LORD makes a way.

A Different Spirt

Image
But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it. — Numbers 14:24 (NKJV) In the school of ministry, we learned that “different” means next. While the other Israelites were ready to turn around and go back to the land of their captivity, Caleb was courageous and ready to conquer the enemies living in the promised land. Do you have a what’s next spirit or a what could have been spirit? Let us not have a critical, whining or complaining spirit like those who perished in the desert. The eyes of the LORD are constantly searching the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). Even though circumstances don’t appear the way you thought they should, always be ready to move on and ask God “what’s next?”

God's Great Provision

Image
And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith.. . — 1 Kings 17:4-5 (NKJV) The prophet Elijah did as the LORD told him, and the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and in the evening; and he drank from the brook (1Kings 17:6). Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? (Luke 24:38) God fed Elijah in the middle of a barren desert. Surely, your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8). Never doubt our great big GOD, just do as the LORD has instructed. Wherever He has called you, He will supply. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

A Good Place to Live

Image
Some of you wandered for years in the desert, looking but not finding a good place to live, half-starved and parched with thirst, staggering and stumbling, on the brink of exhaustion. Then, in your desperate condition, you called out to God. He got you out in the nick of time; He put your feet on a wonderful road that took you straight to a good place to live. So thank God for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves. — Psalm 107:4-8 (MSG) Abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Dwell in the light of His love. Oh, let us give thanks to the LORD, for in Him, we have a good place to live!

A New Thing!

Image
Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. — Isaiah 43:19 (AMP) “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare;” (Isaiah 42:9, NKJV). God is doing a new thing! Stop studying past events. They cannot be changed. No longer cling to what is old and familiar. The Apostle Paul said, “one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 3:13b-14, NKJV). Today is a new day! May we press on and look forward to what lies ahead!

Peace, He Gave

Image
May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.  — Numbers 6:26 (NLT)  When the children of Israel were wandering in the desert, the LORD told Moses to speak a blessing over His children. In that blessing He gave them peace. In John 14:27 (NKJV), Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” From beginning to end, our Heavenly Father's desire has been for us to live in peace, peace of mind and heart. He gave us His peace. Don't let the thief steal your peace. Cast your cares on the LORD, for He CARES for you.

He Stands with You!

At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, — 2 Timothy 4:16-17a (NKJV)  Although people may desert you when you need them most, the Lord is faithful. He will never abandon you. Not only does He stand with you, He gives you the strength to stand. You may be hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; you may be perplexed, but not in despair; you may be persecuted, but not forsaken; you may be struck down, but, praise God, you are not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)!

New Things!

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”  — Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV) Let go of past failures, hurts and offenses. Those things have come to pass. The things that are going to happen tomorrow are greater than what happened yesterday. “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19). New things are on the way!

Something New!

“Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago. I am going to do something new.  It is already happening. Don’t you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.” Isaiah 43:18-19 (GW) Do not dwell on the past. We can do nothing to change what has already happened. The LORD is doing something new.  He is making a way for you, a pathway through the wilderness (Isa 43:19, NLT). In the words of Pastor Matthew Pollock, "we have a great big GOD, doing great big things!" Let's move onward and forward! There are still greater things to be done. Hallelujah!
