Manna for Your Morning

Because we always have the LORD, our God, with us, we always have reason to rejoice. (Psalm 16:11 NASB) As we abide in the Presence of the LORD, we can experience fullness of joy. Today, choose JOY! Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. — Isaiah 51:11 (NASB)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) May we magnify the good that God is doing in our lives. Be the bearer of good news, and not the voice of doom and gloom. Let us talk more about what is going right, than what is wrong with the world. Whatever you go through today, remember God is always with you and He is for you. Our heavenly Father will never abandon you. When you are in the middle of a difficult situation, know that God has already made a way out, and He will reveal it to you, step by step. Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.] — 1 John 4:7-8 (AMP) Our walk with God is all about love. Loving Him and loving others. Love is an action word. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him (1 John 4:9 NLT). May our hearts be open to receive the unconditional love our heavenly Father lavishes upon us. Abba Father loves and accepts us right where we are, let us also love people where they are and encourage them to move onward and forward. And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. — Mark 15:37 (NKJV)  From the time Jesus died on the cross to the third day when the empty tomb was discovered, was a very dark time for the followers of Christ. The disciples had hoped that He was going to redeem Israel (Luke 24:21), but at this point, their hope was dead. We too will experience some dark days, in between the time we receive the promise, until our hopes and dreams begin to manifest into reality. Heaven will appear to be silent and you may wonder if God is aware of your plight. But hold on, the third day is coming! Don't bury your dreams. Remember God's Word. He is faithful to fulfill every promise. Just as the grave could not contain Jesus, the enemy cannot stop the purpose and plans God has for you.

Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. — Isaiah 38:17 (NKJV) It is because of His great love for us that our heavenly Father delivered our souls from the pit of corruption, emptiness and ultimate destruction. When we were falling deeper and deeper into the pit of darkness and despair, it was the hand of the LORD that reached in and pulled us out. No matter how far you fall, you can always call on His name and He will hear you. Oh what an amazing love God has lavished on us!

Then they journeyed… and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way. And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? ” — Numbers 21:4-5 (NKJV) Many of the people of Israel died from fiery serpents because they complained against the LORD (Numbers 21:6-7). When you become discouraged and don't understand “why?” God has allowed something to happen in your life, let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouth (Ephesians 4:29, NIV). Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, — Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV)

In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart]. — Psalm 5:3 (AMP) In the morning, lay your requests before the Lord, then watch and wait in anticipation, with a sense of expectancy. Here is what the Lord says to those who make the Most High, their dwelling place: “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:15-16) Call upon Him, watch, wait and listen. He will answer!

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly, a violent earthquake shook the foundations of the jail. All the doors immediately flew open, and all the prisoners’ chains came loose. — Acts 16:25-26 (GW) As a result of the prayer and praises of Paul and Silas, and the signs and wonders that followed, the jailer and his entire family became believers and were baptized that night. When you experience trials and hardships, continue to pray and praise God. Instead of looking at your circumstances, keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

The Lord asked Moses, “Is there a limit to the Lord’s power? Now you will see whether or not my words come true.” Numbers 11:23 (God's Word) Our God rules in power and glory. God formed the mountains by His power and armed Himself with strength (Psalm 65:6). He split open the sea by His power (Psalm 74:13). And by His power, God raised Jesus from the dead, (1 Corinthians 6:14). There is no limit to the LORD's mighty power. Have no doubt or fear. The LORD is able to bring you through your circumstances. We overcome with the LORD on our side. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope. Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles. Psalm 119:49-50 (NLT) In affliction, the words of the LORD will comfort and console you. Cling to His promises and they will give you hope. The Word of the LORD stands forever. It will not disappoint. His Word will revive you and give you new life. Love, Jackie

Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." John 4:10 (NIV) Are you thirsty? In John 7:37, Jesus said, "If anyone is thirsty let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." He satisfies the thirsty. We know how refreshing a glass of water is when we are physically thirsty. When we are spiritually thirsty nothing fulfills like the living water of Jesus.
