Cling Tightly

Image
So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! — Hebrews 10:23 (TPT) Let us hold tightly, without wavering, to the living hope we have in the LORD. For He who promised is reliable, trustworthy and faithful to His Word. In Hebrews 13:5, He assures us that He will never leave us or forsake us. Psalm 119:65 says, those who love God’s law will have great peace and nothing will make them stumble. Psalm 55:22 promises that, if we cast our cares on the LORD, He will sustain us. All the promises God has made are “Yes” in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Which one are you standing in faith on?

Hold onto Hope

Image
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. — Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) Always hold onto hope. The woman who had been suffering with an issue of blood for twelve years, could have given up, but instead she pressed through the crowd, touched the fringe of Jesus’ cloak and received her healing. (Matthew 9:20-22) The man who had an infirmity thirty-eight years, continued to lay by the pool of Bethesda waiting for the moving of the water, day after day. (John 5:2-3) He held onto hope and was in the right place at the right time. One encounter with Jesus and immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. (John 5:5-9) So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for living before his face is my saving grace! (Psalm 42:5 TPT)  Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our ho...

Count it all Joy

Image
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, — James 1:2 (NASB) Instead of looking for perfect circumstances, look to the perfect One, Jesus. He said, “ Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart (be of good cheer), because I have overcome the world. ” (John 16:33) Instead of focusing on the problem, take comfort in His Presence and stand on His promises. Romans 8:28 (NASB) says, God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. — James 1:2-4 (MSG)

Hold onto Hope

Image
Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.   — Proverbs 23:18 (NASB) In God, we have a living hope! He is a God who brings dead things back to life. “…blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah 17:7 NLT) He alone is our hope in the day of doom and disaster. (Jeremiah 17:17b) And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:5 NLT) Hold onto hope and be confident that you will see the LORD’s goodness while you are here in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13) The LORD always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does. (Psalm 145:13b NLT)

Rejoice in His Faithfulness!

Image
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. — Psalm 36:5  (NLT)  Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations... — Psalm 119:90a (NASB) Thank the LORD for His continual faithfulness. He is faithful to get us through the difficult days and challenging situations. In faithfulness, He strengthens us when we are weak. He is faithful to love us unconditionally. When we cast all our anxiety on Him, He is faithful to give us His perfect peace. He will trade our sorrow for joy. He is faithful to always be with us and stand by our side. In faithfulness, He will complete the good plans He has for us. He is faithful to fulfill all His promises. For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness. (Psalm 33:4 NASB) He cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18) and His word does not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). Rejoice in His faithfulness today!

Hang on to Hope

Image
“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” — Psalm 39:7 (NKJV) Christ Jesus is our hope… (1 Timothy 1:1 NASB). Keep your hope in Him alive, and fresh! This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, is both sure and steadfast… (Hebrews 6:19 NKJV). Our hope is the anchor that will keep us from drifting when stormy winds blow. As we hang on to hope, it will keep us from being carried away by the currents of life circumstances and pressures. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor… (Hebrews 6:19 NLT). We can trust God to keep His promises because He is faithful. He will fulfill each and every one. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. ( Romans 5:5 NLT) Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 23:18 NASB)

Overflow with Confidence

Image
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. — Romans 15:13 (AMP) We have to be believing God for something if we are going to have an experience of our faith. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you (Mark 11:24 AMP). Believe God for healthy relationships, a godly spouse, the salvation of your children, friends and neighbors; believe to be debt free, etc. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward (Hebrews 10:35).

Hold On!

Image
Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. — Hebrews 10:23 (MSG) Never let go or give up on the promises God has spoken to you. God is faithful and we can  trust Him to keep His promises. What the LORD speaks, eventually comes to pass (maybe not on our timetable). After God delivered the Israelites from slavery and ushered them into the Promise Land, Joshua 21:44-45 says, the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. This is the same God we serve. They may have spent 40 years in the wilderness, but through it all, God provided and His people prevailed. The enemy likes to use adverse circumstances to discourage us, but look past the smokescreen and see the victory we already have in Jesus! Hold onto His promises.

The God of Hope

Image
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. — Romans 15:13 (AMP) Living a kingdom life is characterized by righteousness, peace and joy, which is a by product of loving God and completely trusting Him. He is the God of hope, a hope that is alive and active. Let us be confident in our great God, that He is both able and willing to fulfill every single promise He has made. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11, NKJV).
