A Wonderful Secret

Image
“ But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. ” — 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NLT) “…Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.” (1 Corinthians 15:42-44 NLT) …thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. (See 1 Corint...

Love Lasts

Image
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. — 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NLT) Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 TPT) Love is “kind to all ,” not just those who agree with our opinions, and conform to our ways. “Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7 TPT) Be that safe place for others. Real love endures through every circumstance. Love lasts forever, not just in the month of December. Love continually, every month ...

Made Right

Image
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. — 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT) Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. (See Ephesians 2:13) Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:2 NLT) Now that we have been granted access to our heavenly Father, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, let us draw near to our loving and gracious God and stay close to Him at all times. Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. (Jude 1:24-25 N...

The Perfect Gift

Image
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NASB1995) Our heavenly Father is abundantly gracious and extremely generous. May we never forget the good things He does for us. The most perfect gift He gives us is Himself. In Hebrews 13:5 (NLT), God has said, “ I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. ” His Presence is our greatest blessing and benefit. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus says: “ And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” He is Immanuel, “ God With Us ”. When all others desert you, the Lord will stand with you. (See 2 Timothy 4:16-17) In His Presence is fullness of joy (See Psalm 16:11) and a peace which reassures the heart and transcends all understanding (See Philippians 4:7 AMP). In His Presence, He gives us power, strength and protection. (See Isaiah 40:29 & 2 Samuel 22:3 NLT) Thanks be to God for His indescri...

Follow His Example

Image
And the Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. He will delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked. He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment. — Isaiah 11:2-5 (NLT) As Believers, may we follow the example of Christ Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords. Be filled with the Spirit and walk in the Spirit of extraordinary wisdom, understanding, counsel and might. Have a reverential fear of the LORD and delight in obeying Him. Do not judge by appearance nor make decisions based on rumors or hearsay. Make fair decisions. And wear (walk in) righteousness and truth everyday. Amen.

HE CARES

Image
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. — 1 Peter 5:6-7 (AMP) Cast all your cares on the LORD, and leave them in His mighty hands. Trust God and the good plans He has for you. His plans are for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. So long as we are alive, we have hope... (Ecclesiastes 9:4a VOICE) Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you. — Psalm 37:7 (TPT)

Jesus is the One

Image
In Luke 7:20 (TPT) John’s disciples asked Jesus, “ Are you the coming Messiah we’ve been expecting, or are we to continue to look for someone else? ” Isaiah 9:6 (NASB) says: For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace . JESUS is the ONE. He is the way, the truth, and the life.  No need to look to any other. The Son of Man is enthroned in the place of honor, power, and authority with Almighty God. (Luke 22:69 TPT). So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. — Hebrews 4:16 NLT

Forget Not

Image
Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: — Psalm 103:1-2 (NKJV) He forgives all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases, He redeems your life from destruction, He crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, He satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:3-5) The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. (Psalm 103:8) The mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them. (Psalm 103:17-18) He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, (Ephesians 1:4).  Bless the LORD, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; Bless the LORD, O my soul! (Psalm 103:22 (NAS...

Rooted & Grounded

Image
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. — Ephesians 3:16-18 (NLT) Could it be that difficulty in trusting God comes from a heart and mind that does not believe or understand the magnitude of God’s unconditional love for us? Please know that there is nothing you could do or say that would stop the extravagant love our heavenly Father so freely and generously pours out on us. His love for you is limitless. May you be deeply rooted and securely grounded in God’s great love at all times and in every situation. In His love, we are empowered and strengthened to triumph over troubles.

Be Faithful

Image
Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. — Revelation 2:10 (NKJV) Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you (1 Peter 4:2). Suffering brings about great fruit. A diamond has to be cut and polished before it sparkles. Before the championship game can be won, we must experience the pain and soreness of practice. Before the baby is born, one must go through the pain of labor. Jesus bled and suffered for us to enjoy the fruit of fellowship with the Father. Do not fear the suffering. You have the greater One living inside of you. Be faithful to the end. In Jesus, we have the victory!

Be Deeply Planted

Image
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NKJV) Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Christ Jesus the Lord, firmly and deeply planted in Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth. (Colossians 2:7). And you will not be bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Your leaves will stay green, and they will never stop producing fresh fruit. Amen!

No Compromise

God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.” — 2 Corinthians 6:16-17 (The Message) If we live in the land of compromise, we are standing on middle ground, and in danger of being lukewarm. In Revelation 3:16, God says, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. As children of God, we are not supposed to succumb to the ways of this world. Instead, we are to let the light of His love and grace shine so brightly through us, that we light up the darkness that is in the world. Live as children of light (Ephesians 5:8)!

Lead Me, Lord!

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. — Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT) The LORD leads us beside quiet waters, He refreshes our souls. He guides us along the right paths for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:2-3). The LORD shows us the path of life (Psalm 16:11). Let us faithfully and humbly follow our heavenly Father and He will lead us into a future that is exceedingly abundantly above all that we dare ask or even imagine.

Victory Comes from the LORD!

No weapon that has been made to be used against you will succeed. You will have an answer for anyone who accuses you. This is the inheritance of the LORD’s servants. Their victory comes from me,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:17 (GW) Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:14-18) and no weapon forged against you will prevail. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Do not be afraid, nor dismayed because the battle is not yours, but God’s. Our victory comes from the LORD. Hallelujah!

Stay Sharp

"But be on your guard. Don't let the sharp edge of your expectation get dulled by parties and drinking and shopping. Otherwise, that Day is going to take you by complete surprise, spring on you suddenly like a trap, for it's going to come on everyone, everywhere, at once. So, whatever you do, don't go to sleep at the switch. Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that's coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man." Luke 21:34-36 (The Message) In a conversation about end times, Jesus warned his followers not to get distracted by worldly events. We are to watch, and pray for strength to endure all that will happen before Jesus returns. Amen.

He Stands with You

The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. 2 Timothy 4:16-18 (NLT) When it seems like you have been abandoned by all, the Lord stands with you. He gives you strength and delivers you from every evil attack. When you get that doctor's report, remember, the Lord stands with you. In each adversity, the Lord is by your side. He never leaves you or forsakes you. Amen. Love, Jackie

Raging Storms

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. Acts 27:20 (NIV) When raging storms come upon us for many days and only dark clouds loom above, we may feel like giving up all hope. But listen to the words the Apostle Paul spoke to those who were on the boat with him. He said, "Keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God..." (Acts 27:25)  Have faith in God to withstand the raging storms and He will bring you through.  In His Love, Jackie
