Love the Light

Image
“This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.” — John‬ ‭3‬:‭19-20‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬) God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. (See 1 John 1:5 NKJV) No matter how dark the world gets, the darkness can never extinguish it. (See John ‭1:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬) …Jesus said, “I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness.” (John‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬) May we love the light and live in the light.

He Came to Save

Image
God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. — John 3:17 (TLV) The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. (See Luke 19:10) Yeshua did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness].” (See Luke 5:32 AMP) “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 TLV) He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18 NASB1995) Believe in the Lord Yeshua as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him and you will be saved. “Now is the fullness of time,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins, and believe in the Good News!” — ...

Do As He Says

When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” — Luke 5:4-5 (NASB1995) When we attempt to take on a task in our own human effort and we often produce nothing, and sometimes we make a bigger mess of things. However, when our Master instructs us to do something, let us make sure we do it, even if we have already tried to do it in the past. Because Simon obeyed Jesus and let down his nets, even though they had worked all night, they caught so many fish that their nets began to break. (See Luke 5:6) When we humble ourselves and obey the Lord, many blessings are sure to follow. It is not by mere human might, nor by power, but by His Spirit that we are able to accomplish anything of lasting value. In John 15:5, Jesus said: “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he be...

"It is Written..."

Image
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” — Matthew 4:1-3 (NASB1995) I believe it is not a coincidence that the devil tried to entice Jesus with bread, after He became hungry. Jesus, our High Priest, was tempted in every way as we are, but He did not sin. (See Hebrews 4:15) Instead, He spoke what was written in the Word of God. He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” (See Matthew 4:4)  When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came. (Luke 4:13 NLT) Our enemy knows how to entice us. He has had a lot of practice. First Peter 5:8 (NKJV) tells us to be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring li...

The Same

Image
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. — Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) Our Lord and Savior does not change. His name “Immanuel,” is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23 NKJV) Immanuel is with us yesterday, today and forever. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. (See Revelation 1:8 NKJV) For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. (Psalm 48:14 NKJV) No matter what happens from the beginning of our lives to the end, we can count on Jesus to be there with us. And if He is with us, who can stand against us? “ At the beginning You founded the earth; the heavens are the work of Your hands. Even they will perish, but You endure; Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them and they shall be changed. “But You remain the same, and Your years will never end. ” — Psalm 102:25-27 (AMP)
