Look to Him

Image
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. — Psalms 34:4-6 (NLT) So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT) Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. (Psalms 34:8-10 NLT) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person f...

He Rescues

The next day as we were being violently storm-tossed, they began to jettison the cargo; and on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands. Since neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm was assailing us, from then on all hope of our being saved was gradually abandoned.   — Acts 27:18-20 (NASB1995) When the storms of life seem to go on and on, do not lose hope. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalms 34:17 NLT) In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT), the LORD says: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” You may experience some loss in the midst of the storm. There may be some things you need to get rid of to lighten your load, but the LORD will rescue you. (See Psalms 34:19)

Patiently Endure

Image
“ In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. ” — 2 Corinthians 6:4-5 (NLT) In 2 Corinthians 7:5 (NLT) the apostle Paul says: “When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside.” When we are faced with any kind of hardships and troubles let us patiently endure. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (James 1:3-4 NLT) Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. (1 Peter 2:20 NLT) So let’s not get tired ...

Victory is Ours

Image
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” — Romans 8:37 (NLT) Praise Yahweh that despite all these things (troubles, trials, temptations, the storms of life, etc.), we are more than conquerors through Christ. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 NKJV) For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. (1 John 5:4 AMP) …thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV) And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.  — Revelation 12:11 (NASB1995)

Troubles of ANY Kind

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. — James1:2-4 (NLT) I appreciate that the Word says when troubles of ANY kind come our way, we can consider it an opportunity for great joy. Not just a little joy, but GREAT joy. Amen. And hallelujah! It may not sound like an easy thing to do, but remember: we can do all things [which He has called us to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers us [to fulfill His purpose—we are self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; we are ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses us with inner strength and confident peace.] (See Philippians 4:13 AMP) In Christ, we can endure the various troubles and trials, whether they be physical, financial, spiritual, relationship or job r...

Be Sure & Fearless

Image
God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. — Psalms 46:1-2 (VOICE) When your world spins out of control, instead of being nervous and anxious you can be sure and fearless, standing strong in faith. The world may be in a state of chaos, but our great God, does not change. He is a very present help in times of trouble. He is the Most High, over heaven and earth, higher than any hurdle, bigger than any mountain. “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 AMP) No matter what happens, you still belong to Him; He holds your right hand. He guides you with His counsel, leading you to a glorious destiny....

Hope in God

Image
“O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You. Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry. For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to the grave.” “My eye wastes away because of affliction. LORD, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.” — Psalms 88:1-3, 9 (NKJV) When overwhelmed by troubles, keep crying out to Yahweh. Know that He is with you. He knows the challenges you face and He will deliver you from each and every one of them. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalms 42:11 NASB1995) This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells], (H...

Do Not Be Surprised

Image
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. — 1 Peter 4:12 (AMP) For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NLT) Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP) Remember, He is with you in the fire and the flood. In Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) He says: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you...

More Than Conquerors

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP) Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. (1 John 4:4 AMP) “… we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! ” — Romans 8:37 (TPT)

Don't Despair

Image
“So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison,” — 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (TPT) Don't despair. Whatever troubles we experience in this life, they are light and momentary. They will eventually come to pass. “Pour out all your worries and stress upon God and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you.” (See 1 Peter 5:7 TPT) 7 Since God cares for you with deepest affection, let Him carry all your burdens and worries. (See 1 Peter 5:7 VOICE & AMP)

An Opportunity for Great Joy

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. — James 1:2 (NLT) We can consider it all joy when we encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (See James 1:3-4 NASB1995) We can maintain our joy by looking not at the temporary circumstances which are seen but at the eternal things which are not seen. (See 2 Corinthians 4:18) For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison (2 Corinthians 4:17 NASB1995) We do this by focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. (See Hebrews 12:2 TLV) Don't let the enemy steal your joy.  “Your hearts can soar with joyful gratitude when you t...

He Delivers

Image
“And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” — Acts 7:9-10 (NKJV) Those close to us may do us wrong, but Yahweh is always with us and He is faithful to deliver us out of all our troubles. Psalms 34:17 (NLT) says: The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph told his brothers: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…” What harm Yahweh allows others to do in your life, He is able to turn around for good. The land of your suffering can become the place of abundant blessings.

Never Give Up

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed . — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Therefore we do not become discouraged, disappointed, nor afraid. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. Let us view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (See 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 AMP/TPT/NLT) Never give up. Though we walk in the midst of trouble, the LORD will revive us. ...thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB)

Not Destroyed

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.   — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Whatever set of circumstances you face today, know that the situation has come, and it will also pass. Second Corinthians 4:17 says, our troubles are light and momentary. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! Remember, the plans the LORD has for you are good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB1995)

Be Sure & Fearless

Image
God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. [pause].  — Psalm 46:1-3 (VOICE) When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. In God, whose word I praise;
In God I have put my trust; I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4 AMP) Yahweh is a very present help in times of trouble. He is a safe shelter. He gives us strength to stand, in spite of the difficulties we face. If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP)

Rejoice!

Image
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB1995) Even though we may be distressed by various trials, we can still rejoice. The Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials. (See 2 Peter 2:7-9NLT) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV) So don’t focus your attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (See 2 Corinthians 4:18) …and though you have not seen Jesus, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. (See 1 Peter 1:8-9 NASB1995)

Never Abandoned

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) In this world, we will have some troubles, we will experience various hardships and trials. …but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB1995) In the midst of challenges, remember that you are never abandoned by the Most High God and in Christ, you are more than a conqueror. God is continually with you and with His counsel He will guide you, and afterward receive you to glory. (See Psalm 73:23-24) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB1995)

Endure to the End

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. — James 1:2-4 (NLT) For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. (Hebrews 10:36 AMP) What enables us to endure when faced with challenges and difficulties from all sides? Hebrews 12:3 tells us to consider Jesus, Who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that we will not grow weary and lose heart. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (See Hebrews 12:2) May we keep our joy, as we persevere through temporary trials and temptation, for the c...

Never Abandoned

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever. (Psalm 125:2 NLT) He surrounds us with songs of victory. (See Psalm 32:7) Even if your father and mother abandon you, the LORD will hold you close. (See Psalm 27:10 NLT) Yahweh will never leave you, nor forsake you. Have patient perseverance and He will deliver you out of all trouble. The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. — Psalm 138:8 (NLT)

An Opportunity

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. — James 1:2 (NLT)
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) In this world, you will have many trials and sorrows. But don’t get discouraged. Instead, seize the opportunity to be joyful because when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (See James 3-4) Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. (See Hebrews 12:1)  For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. — Hebrews 10:36 (AMP)
