Rocky Soil

Image
“Those on the rocky soil are the people who, when they hear, receive and welcome the word with joy; but these have no firmly grounded root. They believe for a while, and in time of trial and temptation they fall away [from Me and abandon their faith].” — Luke 8:13 (AMP) Never abandon your faith. Fight the good fight, finish the race, keep the faith. (See 2 Timothy 4:7) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT) May we receive the Word of God in the good soil of our hearts and be firmly rooted and grounded in it. …the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. (Luke 8:15 NASB1995)  But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” ...

Every Perfect Gift

Image
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.  — James 1:17 (NASB1995) He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32 NKJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. (1 Corinthians 2:12 AMP) The payoff for a life of sin is death, but God is offering us a free gift—eternal life through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. (Romans 6:23 VOICE) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV) Thanks be to Yahweh for His indescribable gift! Receive His gift today.  Great is the goodness and generosity of Yahweh. He has freely giv...

Always Good

Image
For YAHWEH is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! — Psalms 100:5 (TPT) The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. (Psalms 145:9)  God is good and He does not change. (See Malachi 3:6) Like the father of the prodigal son, His arms are always open to receive you and draw you closer to Him. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. (See Psalms 100:5 & 118:1 NKJV) He is good and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon Him. (See Psalms 86:5) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalms 34:8) Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm...

A Son is Given

Image
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) Unto us a Son is given. Jesus is everything we need. He has done all that needed to be done for us. When He said “ It is finished! ” that is what He meant. Receive Him today. He continually beckons for us to come closer to Him. Receive His counsel, and guidance. Receive His love as an everlasting Father and receive His peace that will rule in our hearts and minds as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.

Believe & Receive

Image
But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. — Hebrews 11:6 (AMP) Often times we weary ourselves out attempting to do too many things, or trying to get something in our own strength, instead we are to be filled and led by the Spirit of God. He will lead us and guide us and give us the strength to do what He has called us to do. In John 14:1, Jesus implores us to believe in God and believe also in Him. No matter how circumstances may appear, let us continually believe God and His Word.  Receive the God of Israel as the One who is faithful to perform every Word He has spoken. Receive Him as the Source of the breath of life within us and the Sovereign God, above all. Receive Him as the God Who Sees You (El Roi) and the One Who has made a way for you. He is our Provider, our Healer, our Righteousness, our Prince of Peace...

Live IN Christ

Image
And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we’ll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives. — 1 John 2:28 (MSG) As followers of Christ, let us live in Him, every moment of every day. The deeper you go, the less likely you are to fall out. In Christ Jesus we have redemption (Romans 3:24), and liberty (Galatians 2:4). There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1) We are to consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11) The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) We who are many, are one body in Christ. (Romans 12:5) We are to dwell together in love, peace and unity. Our victory is in Christ. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ...  — 2 Corinthians 2:14a (NASB)

Always Good!

Image
For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! — Psalm 100:5 (TPT) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:9 NLT) The arms of the Lord are open and He says: "COME!" He is always ready to receive you. Make this your one purpose: to revere Him and serve Him faithfully with complete devotion because He has done great things for you. (1 Samuel 12:24 VOICE)

Child of God

Image
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — — John 1:12 (AMP) What a privilege and honor to be called a child of God, to abide in the Presence of Almighty God. Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children. And in the same way the world didn’t recognize Him, the world does not recognize us either. (1 John 3:1 VOICE) The Passion Translation says: Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children … (1 John 3:1) As children of God, let us abide with Him on a moment by moment basis, not just drop by one day of the week and then check out. With humble and grateful hearts, let us confidently and daily, draw near to the throne of grace, and spend ...

He Strengthens & Empowers

Image
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] — Philippians 4:13 (AMP) We can do everything God has called us to do as we work through Christ. We can make it through anything because the One who is in us, is greater than he who is in the world. He strengthens us and empowers us. Be open and receive, and you will be filled with inner strength and confident peace.

Favor for Life!

Image
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield. — Psalm 5:12 (NASB) For His anger is but for a moment,  His favor is for a lifetime;  Weeping may last for the night, b ut a shout of joy comes in the morning.  — Psalm 30:5 (NASB) The righteous are surrounded by God’s favor and His favor is not just momentary, it lasts for a lifetime. Amen! The Voice Bible says, He lays all good things in the laps of the right-hearted. His blessings surround them like a shield. (Psalm 5:12 VOICE). His favor is not something we have to struggle and fight for, we just have to receive it. His favor will open doors for you that no man can shut. Praise God for His favor! For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity. — Psalm 84:11 (CSB)

Receive & Bloom

Image
“Rain down, O heavens, from above, let the clouds pour down righteousness [all the blessings of God]; Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it;  I, the LORD, have created it.” — Isaiah 45:8 (AMP) There is nothing we can do to earn salvation, we are saved by accepting Christ as our Savior. Just as the earth receives the rain that falls, we are to open our hearts and receive Christ, our King. When the rain waters the ground it causes growth and the bearing of fruit. When we receive Jesus in our hearts, and plant the Word of God (seed) on good soil, we will bloom in the Kingdom of God. And fruit will be produced in our lives. Be open to receive the Lord and all the wonderful blessings of God: salvation, love, joy, peace, righteousness, etc. “Open up, heavens, and rain. Clouds, pour out buckets of my goodness! Loosen up, earth, and bloom salvation; sprout right living. I, God, generate all this.” — Isaiah 45:8 (MSG)

Know your Nature

Image
When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of;” — Luke 9:54-55 (NASB) When the Samaritans did not receive Jesus, James and John were ready to call down fire from heaven to burn them up, but Jesus rebuked  them and said, they did not know what kind of spirit they were made of. As followers of Christ, and children of God, may we know our new nature. It is the nature of our enemy to steal, kill and destroy. As new creations in Christ, our nature is one of life, love, grace and peace. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. (Luke 9:56 NKJV) His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10b NLT)

Let’s be Sheep

Image
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’ — Matthew 25:34 (NIV) “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, He will separate them one from another. He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. (Matthew 25:31-32)  The sheep will receive their inheritance, because Jesus says, “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” (Matthew 25:35-36) And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:40) Sheep follow in the footsteps of their Shepherd. They tend to the needs of their neighbors. They comfort those who are in any trouble, with the same comfort they rece...

by His Spirit

Image
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) It’s by His Spirit that our battles are won. By His Spirit we overcome obstacles and triumph through trials and tribulation. We can experience joy on the job with the Holy Spirit as our constant companion. With the comfort of the Holy Spirit we can have peace in the midst of problems. He will strengthen you in times of sorrow and sadness. Instead of resisting the Holy Spirit, receive Him, with an open and humble heart. ‘ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. ’ (Acts 2:17 NKJV)

Believe for the Best

Image
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. — Luke 11:9-10 (NLT) “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. (John 3:16 MSG) For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give. (Romans 8:32 TPT) Our heavenly Father is a generous giver. As with any gift given, we must believe the gift is for us and receive it. Believe that our God is a good Father who loves you and wants nothing but the best for you. Settle for nothing less than God's best.

Just a Touch

Image
...behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” — Matthew 9:18 (NKJV) When Jesus went in and took the ruler’s daughter by the hand, the girl arose. (Matthew 9:25)  When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened… (Matthew 9:27, 29-30) In Matthew 8:14-15, Jesus saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. A touch from Jesus makes dead things, come alive again. Those with blind eyes are able to see again, after a touch of His hand. His touch brings healing, strength and restoration. What or who in your life needs to be touched by Jesus? May we humble ourselves, worship the King, and acknowledge that we need to live with the touch of His ...

Receive

Image
Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.” — Ezekiel 3:10 (NKJV) Receive the Word and let it sink deep into your heart. The quality of our lives and those around us depends on how we receive the Word of God and how well we listen to it. Listen carefully to what God speaks to you. Our heavenly Father speaks words of life, love, and peace. His Word is packed with promises of protection, provision, and victory. He speaks of the purpose and plans He has for our lives. He speaks of strength, stability, and success. When we trust Him, His Word will bring about transformation and restoration. His words are healing and inspire hope. Let us not be like the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (Mark 4:18-19 NASB...

He Still Heals

Image
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. — Matthew 4:23 (NKJV) Jesus never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). He is still Healer. And one of the things I love about Him, is that He meets us where we are. The woman with the issue of blood, purposed in her heart that she had to push through the crowd and grab a hold of His garment to receive her healing. (Luke 8:40-42). The man that was lowered through the roof on a cot was helpless and hopeless and had to rely on the faith of his friends, but Jesus still healed him. (Mark 2:4-5). The centurion knew that all Jesus had to do was speak a word and his servant would be healed. (Matthew 8:8). Jesus wants you to live a healthy and abundant life, —healed and whole, body, soul and spirit. Exercise the level of faith you have and our loving, compassionate Savior and Heal...

The Giver

Image
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NLT) Our heavenly Father consistently and freely gives us every good and perfect gift. He has given us unconditional love, peace of mind, joy, redemption and freedom. May we receive every gift with a grateful heart.  The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Don't relinquish your gifts to him. Instead, keep a firm grip on all that God has given you and utilize them to live the more abundant life Jesus came to give us, and to add to the lives of others.

Say "Yes!"

Image
By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. — Hebrews 11:8 (MSG) Will you say “Yes!” to the call of God on your life? Will you leave the known and familiar to journey toward what God has yet to reveal? It’s only when we faithfully follow God that we are in position to enjoy the fullness of His Presenc e and receive the complete inheritance that He has for us. Say “Yes!” to Him today. Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations—the City designed and built by God (Hebrews 11:10 MSG). So don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix your gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT)
