Armed with Strength

Image
“ I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. ” — Psalms 18:1-2 (NLT) “…in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalms 18:6 NLT) “He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me.” (Psalms 18:16-18 NLT) “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” (Psalms 18:30-33 NLT) Let us ...

Lead Me

Image
Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. — Psalms 61:1-3 (NASB1995) May we always follow, as Yahweh leads us. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Psalms 62:1-2 NASB1995) Trust [confidently] in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him.
God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalms 62:8 AMP) The righteous will rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; All the upright in heart will glory and offer praise. (Psalms 64:10 AMP)

He Hears AND He Cares

Image
“But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.” — Job 35:13 (NLT) In the midst of affliction and adversity, it may seem like God has abandoned you, or that your cries for help are falling on deaf ears. However, Psalms 34:15 (LSB) says: The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry for help. You can be assured that our Heavenly Father is always listening to the pleas of His children, and He will answer. In addition, 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) says to cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].  From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalms 61:2 (NKJV)

Lead Me to The Rock

“Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalms 61:1-2 (NASB1995) No matter where we are, we can always cry out for our heavenly Father’s help. He is faithful to lead us and guide us along the path of everlasting life. Stay close to Him. He alone is our rock and our salvation. He is a refuge for us, a tower of strength against the enemy. Dwell in His tent forever. Take refuge in the shelter of His wings. (See Psalms 61:3-4 NASB1995) Trust [confidently] in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalms 62:8 AMP) “He alone is my safe place; his wraparound presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me?” — Psalms 62:2 (TPT)

Lead Me to the Rock

From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalm 61:2 (NKJV) Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], for the LORD God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. (Isaiah 26:4 AMP) He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. (Psalm 62:2 NKJV) There is no one holy like the LORD, there is no one besides You, there is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 AMP) Remember that God is our rock, and the Most High God our Redeemer. (See Psalm 78:35) Let us be like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. (See Luke 6:48 NKJV) For His name’s sake He will lead you and guide you. (See Psalm 31:3)

Our Rock

(Psalm 62:2) ...the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. (Psalm 33:11 NLT) Everything we have and ever hope to be, ultimately rests on the Sovereign God, El Elyon (the God Most High). For in Him we live and move and have our being. (See Acts 17:28) He is the One Who formed us in the womb of our mothers, and wrote all our days in His book. (See Psalm 139:13&16). He is the all-sufficient One, the eternal Source of all that we will ever need. His supply never runs dry. Draw near to our everlasting God and He will draw near to you. Let us come to Him, with humble hearts, and reside in His Presence, as His Holy Spirit abides in us. Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my pr...

Lead Me to The Rock!

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. — Psalm 61:2-4 (NASB1995) When your heart is overwhelmed and weak, call upon Yahweh. He is the Everlasting Rock. All His ways are justice. Righteous and upright is He. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect. (2 Samuel 22:32-33 NLT) No one is holy like the LORD, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God. Higher than I

Image
From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]. For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me, a strong tower against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. — Psalm 61:2-4 (AMP) Know that He alone, whose name is the LORD, is the Most High over all the earth. (See Psalm 83:18 NASB1995) He called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. (See 1 Peter 2:9) This call is from a lower place to a much higher place, and from a dark place to a place full of His marvelous light and amazing love. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9 AMP) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (See Psalm 18:16 NLT) In the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the ...

Higher Than I

Image
From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalm 61:2 (NKJV) There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. (See 1 Samuel 2:2) When overwhelmed with life, cry out to the LORD for help. He is our safe refuge. I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2 NLT) In all circumstances, may we trust in the LORD and follow Him. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is! (Deuteronomy 32:4 NLT) The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. —...

Build on the Rock

Image
“ Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. ” — Matthew 7:24-25 (NASB) May we build our lives on the solid rock. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? (Psalm 18:31 NLT) God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I need comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, an impregnable castle: I’m set for life. (Psalm 62:1-2 MSG) Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.” — Isaiah 28:16 (NASB)

STAND

Image
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NASB) No matter how strong the wind or how hard the shaking, the righteous have an everlasting foundation, Jesus Christ. Build your life on the Rock, and who is a rock, except our God. (Psalm 18:31) In Proverbs 10:25, The Message Bible says “ When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed .” Don’t be fazed by the storms of life. Trust God and stand on His Word. When all the dust settles, you will still be standing. Proverbs 10:6a (NASB) says, “ Blessings are on the head of the righteous …” Proverbs 10:9a (NASB) goes on to say: He who walks in integrity walks securely … Our God is great and awesome, more powerful than any storm. He is also a loving Father and He always takes care of His children. Amen!

Raise the Roof!

Image
Come, let’s shout praises to God, raise the roof for the Rock who saved us! Let’s march into his presence singing praises, lifting the rafters with our hymns! — Psalm 95:1-2 (MSG) Zephaniah 3:17 (NASB)  says: “The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” Just as He rejoices over us, let us rejoice and take pleasure in His Presence. “See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” Isaiah 12:2 (NLT) Most of all, friends, always rejoice in the Lord! I never tire of saying it: Rejoice! Keep your gentle nature so that all people will know what it looks like to walk in His footsteps. The Lord is ever present with us. — Philippians 4:4-5 (VOICE)
