Keeping Watch

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. — Proverbs 15:3 (NKJV) The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; (Psalms 33:13-14) He is El Roi, The-God-Who-Sees. (See Genesis 16:13) Even the darkness is not dark to Him, and the night is as bright as the day. (See Psalms 139:12) ...the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. (Proverbs 5:21-22 NLT) …the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (See 2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB1995) For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. Seek Him with All Your Heart!

How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it]. With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You; Oh, let me not wander or step aside [either in ignorance or willfully] from Your commandments.  — Psalm 119:9-10 (AMP) Let us keep watch on ourselves and conform our lives to the Living Word, Jesus Christ and His ways. May the yearning of your heart be for more of His Presence, in your life. Certainly you have tasted that the Lord is good (1 Peter 2:3)!

You Can't Hide

“I am a God who is near.  I am also a God who is far away,” declares the LORD.  “No one can hide so that I can’t see him,” declares the LORD.  “I fill heaven and earth!” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 23:23-24 (GW) As a child, you may have enjoyed playing the game of  “ Hide & Seek , ”  but we don't want to try to hide from our heavenly Father, besides it is impossible. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3). Choose to keep the LORD near, follow Him wherever He leads you. Be like Mary who sat at the feet of Jesus listening to what He said and learning from Him (Luke 10:39). The eyes of God are not on us to harm us. He keeps watch over us to protect us, rescue us, and guide us along on the right path. Give God some PRAISE!
