The Promise Keeper

Image
God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not establish it? — Numbers 23:19 (LSB) God cannot lie. (See Titus 1:2) He is the Promise Keeper. He is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken. Yahweh watches over His Word to perform it. In Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV) He says: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” When we stand on the Word of God we are standing on solid and unchangeable ground. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV)

Are You Aware?

Image
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” — Genesis 28:16 (NLT) As Jacob journeyed to his uncle Laban’s place, he reached a certain place and spent the night there because the sun had set. Then he had a dream, and behold, a ladder stood on the earth with its top touching heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, Yahweh stood above it and said, “I am Yahweh, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your seed.” (See Genesis 28:10-13 LSB) Among the promises Yahweh made to Jacob in Genesis 14-15, He promised to be with Jacob, and to keep him. Today, wherever you are on your journey, know that Yahweh is with you. For the ways of a man are before the eyes of Yahweh, and He watches all his tracks. (Proverbs 5:21 LSB) May you be aware of His Presence and follow His guidance. And He will protect you. The Lord is faith...

He's in This Place

Image
Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran. And he reached a certain place and spent the night there because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head and lay down in that place. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely Yahweh is in this place, and I did not know it.” — Genesis 28:10-11, 16 (LSB) In Jacob's dream, God said, “I am Yahweh, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac… Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go. And I will bring you back to this land; for I will not forsake you until I have done what I have promised you.” (See Genesis 28:13, 15) Today, He is with us. Whatever place you are in, remember Yahweh is in that place with you. You are never alone. No matter what situation or circumstance you are facing, you too can declare: “Surely Yahweh is in this place!” Wherever you go, His hand will guide you and His strength will empower you. (See Psalms 139:10 TPT) Always be aware o...

Believe

Image
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of Yahweh
in the land of the living. — Psalms 27:13 (LSB) Second Corinthians 4:8 (NLT) says: We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. What keeps us from being in despair? Believing that we will see the goodness of Almighty God in the land of the living. Remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (See Hebrews 11:6 NKJV) So let us walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] (See 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP) Know that our God is a Promise Keeper. He fulfills every promise He has spoken. In Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV), He says: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper ...

Be Fully Convinced

Image
Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; — Hebrews 10:23 (NASB1995) Don’t waver, nor wander, nor allow the waves of adversity to toss you to and fro.  …he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) And not being weak in faith, Abraham did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. (See Romans 4:19-21 NKJV) Let us be strengthened in faith, give glory to Yahweh, and live fully convinced in the goodness and faithfulness of our mighty God.

He's a Covenant Keeper

Image
Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the entire community of Israel. He lifted his hands toward heaven, and he prayed, “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion. — 1 Kings 8:23 (NLT) People may disappoint you by not keeping their promise to you, but our God is a Covenant-Keeper. God shows personal favoritism to no man (See Galatians 2:6 NKJV)  He watches over His Word to perform it. And Jesus is the Mediator of the new covenant. Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. (See Hebrews 12:24,7:22,8:6) Our heavenly Father is committed to His people. Let us walk with Him, in wholehearted devotion.

Believe

Image
The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them. Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the LORD. — Psalm 106:24-25 (NLT) Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless. Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died. “LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. (Psalm 107:4-6 NLT) Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery. They rebelled against the words of God, scorning the counsel of the Most High. That is why he broke them with hard labor; they fell, and no one was there to help them. “LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. (Psalm 107:10-13 NLT) Yahweh is faithful. He is the LORD, and He does not change. (See Malachi 3:6) Believe His promise to care for His people. Instead of grumbling and complaining, praise the LORD for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for us. (See Psalm 107:15...

Always Trust

Image
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. — Psalm 52:8 (NASB) Always trust confidently in God’s unfailing love. He is not only a Promise Maker, He is a Promise Keeper. He is faithful to watch over His Word and perform it. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6 NLT) The work God is doing is IN us. Be assured that whatever circumstances God is allowing in your life, will eventually bring about the good intended by the LORD. You have heard of the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:11b (AMP)

Always Good!

Image
For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! — Psalm 100:5 (TPT) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:9 NLT) The arms of the Lord are open and He says: "COME!" He is always ready to receive you. Make this your one purpose: to revere Him and serve Him faithfully with complete devotion because He has done great things for you. (1 Samuel 12:24 VOICE)

He is The Promise Keeper

Image
“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” — Luke 1:45 (NKJV) Blessed are you, when you believe what the Lord has told you. Our heavenly Father is not only a promise maker, He is The Promise Keeper. He fulfills every word He has spoken. In Isaiah 55:11 (AMP), He says: “So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” He knows the wonderful plans He has for you and the purpose for which He created you. No matter how circumstances appear today, know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) And so, after Abraham had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. (Hebrews 6:15) You may have to endure some things, but you shall obtain His promises. For you have need of endura...

In Due Time

Image
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. — Galatians 4:4-5 (NKJV) Just as God had a set time for Jesus to be born to Mary and Joseph, He has a set time for you to walk in the fullness of what He has prepared for you, as His child. He is a faithful promise keeper. He fulfills every promise. In Isaiah 55:11 (NLT), He says, “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” The good plans the LORD has purposed for you will come to pass, in due time. Until then, keep fighting the good fight of faith, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2a)

God is with You

Image
So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again…” — Genesis 46:3-4 (NKJV) God promised Israel that He would accompany him on his journey to Egypt. And He fulfilled that promise. Israel dwelt in the best of the land, and grew and multiplied exceedingly. (Genesis 47:11, 27). Our mighty God is a Promise Keeper. His words still ring true for His people today. We are not to fear treading where God has called us to go. When we go down, let us remember that God is with us and He will surely bring us up again. May we encourage ourselves in the LORD and find strength to endure life's challenges. Wherever and whatever God leads us to, He is faithful to bring us through it, out of it, or over it. Glory hallelujah!

Ponder the Promises

Image
But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. — Luke 2:19 (NIV) Mary pondered the words that were prophesied about her Son. When we ponder something we continually think about it. The thought just keeps grabbing our attention, until it gets deep into our heart. Some of us ponder the negative things others have spoken to us. Others ponder people and why they said or did something to us. Let all of that go. If it didn’t kill you, it made you stronger and better. Let us treasure all the awesome words our heavenly Father has spoken to us through His wonderful Word. Ponder all the promises He has spoken to you and know that He is a Promise Keeper. Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. (Joshua 21:45 NIV). Just as He did for Israel, He will do for you. Ponder that!

Patiently Endure

Image
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. — Hebrews 6:15 (NKJV) After God promised Abraham a son, he had to wait for many years, before he looked upon the face of his son, Isaac. In today’s microwave society, waiting patiently goes against our fleshly nature. However, the work God is doing in us, while we “wait” is so much greater and more important than our external circumstances. The work God is doing in us will impact eternity. The beautiful work He is doing inside of us, makes us increasingly more like Him. That has eternal consequences, that far outweigh the here and now. Instead of focusing on the process, on the way to the promises, stay focused on the Presence of the Promise Keeper. In His Presence is fullness of joy and peace forevermore.

The Promise Keeper

Image
You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day. — 1 Kings 8:24 (NKJV) Man may fall short of what his mouth has spoken, but God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). He fulfills every word He has spoken. If you seek the LORD our God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy 4:29). He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” (Hebrews 13:5). When you pass through the waters, He will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you (Isaiah 43:2). Continue to stand on the promises of God, no matter how circumstances appear. Our God is Faithful!
