He Guides

Image
Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” — Isaiah 30:20-21 (TPT) In all of our trials and tribulations, Yahweh is always with us, and He shows us the right path to take. Listen to His voice above all others. He will guide you in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalms 23:3) “Yes, this is our God, our great God forever. He will lead us onward until the end, through all time, beyond death, and into eternity!” (Psalms 48:14 TPT) Just as we listen to the GPS in our vehicles to get us where we want to go, we need to listen to the voice of our heavenly Father to get to our desired destination in life. And just as the GPS re-routes us when we miss a turn, so our heav...

Victory IN Christ

Image
Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. — Philippians 4:13 (MSG) No matter what you go through today, remember that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The Passion Translation says: “ And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. ” (Philippians 4:13 TPT) Keep Christ at the center of all that you do. As we submit to the work of the Holy Spirit, His power and strength works through us. And IN CHRIST, we have the victory. Amen! So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. — Hebrews 3:1 (MSG)

Persevere

Image
…and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. — Revelation 2:3 (NKJV) The dictionary says persevere means to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success. No matter how things may appear at this moment in time, we need to persevere. Let us always stand on God’s Word, persist in prayer and continually thank and praise God for victory and success in every area of our lives. Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail. (James 5:10-11 MSG)

No Doubt

Image
“…Stop doubting and believe.” — John 20:27 (NIV) In Exodus 15:1-21, the Israelites were dancing and singing praises to God because He led them through the sea on dry ground and drowned their enemies. In Exodus 15:24, just three days into the wilderness they were complaining, then in Exodus 17:7 (NKJV) the children of Israel were saying, “ Is the LORD among us or not? ” Wow! How quickly can we see God do a mighty work in one situation and then when faced with another difficulty retreat back to a place of little faith? May we never doubt. It is a tool of the enemy. Doubt is deadly. It is a slow leak in the balloon of hope. With doubt, dreams die and hope fades away. Doubt paralyzes faith. James 1:6 (NIV) says, the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. If you are constantly blown and tossed by the wind, it will be difficult to reach your desired destination. Know that God is with you and He is for you. He intentionally knit you together in your mot...

Unyielding Strength

Image
The LORD will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. — Psalm 29:11 (AMP) The strength the LORD gives us is unyielding. It doesn’t cave in, under pressure and it doesn’t quit, in times of difficulty. We grow tired and weary when we try to do things in our human strength.  Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life.  (Romans 8:6 MSG). When we are open to God’s will and allow His Holy Spirit to work in us and through us, His supernatural strength carries us, and our strength is renewed. We will soar on wings like eagles; we will run and not grow weary, we will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31).

Power & Strength is Available

Image
He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. — Isaiah 40:29 (AMP) God makes strength available for every hardship, and every difficulty we face. When we are weary, we need to take our buckets and draw from the well of living water, where there is an endless supply of everything we need. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV). We are empowered to overcome every challenge by allowing His power that dwells in us, to work through us. Amen!

Over the Flood

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.  — Psalm 29:10 (NIV) No matter what storms come, our everlasting God is greater and bigger. He is above any trial, trouble or natural disaster that comes into our lives. In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT) God says, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Our heavenly Father is with us through it all and He will outlast all of the temporary circumstances of this world. My prayers go out to the families who have endured the fury of hurricane Isaac. May they know the LORD, that He is with them and that He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Amen.

Continually with Him

Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.  — Psalms 73:23-24 (NKJV) Abide in the LORD and He will always be with you. When you go through deep waters, our heavenly Father will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you (Isaiah 43:2, NLT). God guides you with His counsel, leading you to a glorious destiny! (Psalms 73:24, NLT)
