Manna for Your Morning

“But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head. I have cried out to you, Yahweh, from your holy presence. You send me a Father’s help. Pause in his presence” — Psalms 3:3-4 (TPT) As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. (Psalms 125:2 NASB1995) He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (See Psalms 18:30 NKJV) …the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NASB1995) Lift up your eyes to the hills— from whence comes our help. Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (See Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV) “Yahweh himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.” (Psalms 121:5 TPT)

Then Jacob prayed, “Yahweh, God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, you said to me, ‘Return to your country and to your family, and I will make you prosper.’ “I am so unworthy of all the loving-kindness and faithfulness that you have showered upon me, your servant. When I crossed this river Jordan years ago, all I had to my name was a staff in my hand, and now I have increased to become two camps!” — Genesis 32:9-10 (TPT) Jacob was gripped with fear to the point of panic, when his messengers told him his brother Esau was coming to meet him with 400 men. (See Genesis 32:6-7 TPT) However, he knew to humble himself and turn to God in prayer. At all times we ought to pray and not lose heart. (See Luke 18:1) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1 NASB1995) Jacob first reminded God of the words He had spoken to him. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.   — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Whatever set of circumstances you face today, know that the situation has come, and it will also pass. Second Corinthians 4:17 says, our troubles are light and momentary. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! Remember, the plans the LORD has for you are good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB1995)

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. — Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) God raised us up with Christ and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King. (See Ephesians 2:6 VOICE) In Him, we are above every earthly circumstance. Keep Yeshua in the center of your thoughts, your life and your heart, first place in everything. Let anything else play a lesser, minor role in your life. He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church. (See Colossians 1:18 AMP) He is the source of our peace, joy, and hope. And in Him, we overcome and have the victory.

“ For the LORD your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing. ” — Deuteronomy 2:7 (NLT) Just as the LORD watched over the Israelites, He watches over His people today. Cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (See 1 Peter 5:7 AMP) He is your provider and protector. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. (Psalm 121:8 NLT)

But as for me, I will wait and hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.  — Psalm 71:14 (AMP) Be my rock of refuge where I can always hide. You have given the order to keep me safe; You are my solid ground—my rock and my fortress. (Psalm 71:3 VOICE) It was you who supported me from the day I was born, loving me, helping me through my life’s journey. You’ve made me into a miracle; no wonder I trust you and praise you forever! Many marvel at my success, but I know it is all because of you, my mighty protector! (Psalm 71:6-7 TPT)  For your glorious righteousness reaches up to the high heavens. No one could ever be compared to you! Who is your equal, O God of marvels and wonders? Even though you’ve let us sink down with trials and troubles, I know you will revive us again, lifting us up from the dust of death. Give us even more greatness than before. Turn and comfort us once again. (Psalm 71:19-21 TPT)  The LORD alone is our only hope. Trust in Him at all times...

“ Now yield and submit yourself to Him [agree with God and be conformed to His will] and be at peace; In this way [you will prosper and great] good will come to you. ”  — Job 22:21 (AMP) The Lord of peace, continually pours out His peace. Let us be open and uncluttered vessels to receive His peace, at all times and in every situation. Great good comes when we conform to God’s will and His ways. Our minds and hearts abide in His everlasting peace and we prosper in every area of life. May you experience God’s peace, which transcends all understanding. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. — 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NLT) “ Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! ” (John 1:19) He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. — Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) Let us be cheerfully expectant. Our God is faithful and His Word does not return to Him void. He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, (Ephesians 3:20 NASB). Be on fire for Jesus and keep your hope in Him alive. Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10b NKJV)

For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. — 2 Corinthians 7:5 (NKJV) The world has a way of wearing us out with daily dilemmas, conflicts and challenges. However, nothing is too difficult for our great God. Even though there’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! (Romans 5:3-5 MSG) Keep your hope in Christ alive and continually draw your strength from Him.

He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” — John 9:25 (NKJV) Jesus passed by a man who had been born blind. Before meeting Jesus, this man had lived his life in total darkness. He never knew what it was like to watch the sunset or look upon the face of his mom and dad. We too once dwelt in darkness, unable to see the light of the truth. And just as Jesus loved the blind man too much to leave him in the same condition, He loves us too. When Jesus touches our lives with His compassion and grace, we are transformed. Know that God loves you. He is on your side and nothing is too difficult for Him. No matter what you are going through, the work of God will be revealed. He will work it all things together for good.

Surrender yourself to the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Do not be preoccupied with an evildoer who succeeds in his way when he carries out his schemes. — Psalm 37:7 (GW) When you have done all you can do, and you have no more words to utter in prayer, wait patiently and with great expectation on the LORD. Wait with hope for the LORD, and follow his path, and he will honor you by giving you the land. When wicked people are cut off, you will see it (Psalm 37:34 GW). Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! (Psalm 27:14 NKJV)

 Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. — Exodus 6:6 (NKJV) It is the desire of our heavenly Father to bring His children out from under burdens. He tells us to cast all our cares upon Him (Psalm 55:22). In Matthew 11:28 (NLT), Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” His yoke is easy to bear, and the burden He gives us is light (Matthew 11:30). Let us lay aside the heavy burdens and come to Jesus; under His yoke, we find rest for your souls.

Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left;  Remove your foot from evil.  — Proverbs 4:26-27 (NKJV) Let us give careful thought to the way we choose to go. Don't let your attention be captivated by the sideshows and refuse to take any detours off the path of life, which the LORD shows us. Proverbs 4:18 says, the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Follow the light of the LORD!

He must increase, but I must decrease. — John 3:30 (NKJV) We must let our desire to things our way decrease and allow Jesus to become greater in our lives. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). He is the ONLY way. Any other way leads to death. His way leads to abundant life and freedom here on earth and everlasting life to follow. His way leads to healing and wholeness. With Jesus, are pleasures forevermore!

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. James 5:13 (NLT) Call on God in your distress. He will listen to your cry for help and answer your plea. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16, NLT). After we have made our petitions to the Lord, let us praise Him for His faithfulness and goodness, as we patiently wait for His deliverance. Amen.

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. Psalm 57:1-2 (NLT) Take refuge in the shadow of God's wings until the storm is over. This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NIV) Let us rejoice in the fact that Almighty God woke us up to live another day. Be glad because God made this day and He has something in it just for you. According to Nehemiah 9:10, the joy of the LORD is our strength.
