Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. — Proverbs 17:9 (NLT) Help love to flourish in your heart and in the lives of those around you. Love prospers when we forgive the failures of others, and don't highlight their faults. The Message Bible says, love doesn’t keep score of the sins of others. (2 Corinthians 13:5) “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history.” (Isaiah 43:18 MSG) Philippians 3:13, says to forget those things which are behind and look forward to what lies ahead. Let us imitate our Heavenly Father. He forgives all our sins.. (Psalm 103:3) As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. — Psalm 103:12 (NKJV)

A tenderhearted person lives a blessed life; a hardhearted person lives a hard life. — Proverbs 28:14 (MSG) “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”  — Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV) Let go of past failures, hurts and offenses. Those things have come to pass. The things that are going to happen tomorrow are greater than what happened yesterday. “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19). New things are on the way!

“‘... for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?’” declares the LORD. “‘So you will be my people, and I will be your God.’” — Jeremiah 30:21-22 (NIV) When we focus on our sin, our failures and where we miss the mark, those things become bigger in our lives. Let us focus on our great God. Draw near to Him, and build an intimate relationship with Him. The more time we spend with the LORD, the more we become like Him and the things that are not in alignment with His nature will naturally fall out of our lives. Our only desire will be for more of God and not the things that keep us at a distance from Him.

But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failures.” — Matthew 6:14-15 (GW) May we forgive the failures of others, as we want to be forgiven by our heavenly Father when we miss the mark. True forgiveness means, we never bring up the offense to the person again. As my husband says, we should walk around with a pocket full of grace and just give it out as the need arises. Grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love. They have a sweet-smelling aroma and make our relationships BEAUTIFUL! Be one who graciously forgives and forgets.
