More Grace

You may think that the situation is hopeless, but God gives us more grace when we turn away from our own interests. That’s why Scripture says, God opposes the proud, but He pours out grace on the humble. — James 4:6 (VOICE) Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, (1 Peter 5:6). So I’ve learned from my experience that God protects the childlike and humble ones. For I was broken and brought low, but he answered me and came to my rescue! (Psalm 116:6 TPT) He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. (Psalm 66:7 NASB)  But the humble of heart will inherit every promise and enjoy abundant peace. (Psalm 37:11 TPT)

Victory is Ours

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:  — Romans 8:35-36  (MSG) Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:37 NLT) None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:37-39 MSG)

Embraced

Walk in His Paths

This morning, as I read my Bible, this portion of Scripture  spoke to my heart. “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.”  — Isaiah 2:3 (NKJV) My prayer: “Thank You, LORD, for Your wonderful Word. I pray that You would help us to be teachable. May our hearts be tender before You, that we may submit to You, to Your will and Your ways, in all that we do. Let us totally surrender —give up trying to do things our way and follow You. May we walk on the path that You set before us and not take any detours. For Your path leads to everlasting life, peace and joy. Let us not fall for any sideshow distractions of the enemy. Help us to remember: we MUST be about our Father’s business (Luke 2:49). In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.”

Recipe for Success

Happy are those who don’t listen to the wicked, who don’t go where sinners go, who don’t do what evil people do. They love the LORD’s teachings, and they think about those teachings day and night. They are strong, like a tree planted by a river. The tree produces fruit in season, and its leaves don’t die. Everything they do will succeed. — Psalm 1:1-3 (NCV) Treasuring God’s Word in our hearts and aligning our actions to it, are the infallible ingredients of good success. Let us thrill ourselves with God’s Word, and chew on Scripture day and night (Psalm 1:2, MSG), then God will establish His purpose in us and we will experience great success in all that we do!
