Manna for Your Morning

So they inquired further of the LORD, “Has the man come here yet?” And the LORD answered, “He is there, hiding himself by the provisions and supplies.” — 1 Samuel 10:22 (AMP) Saul knew God chose him to be king, but he went into hiding instead. Was he afraid to step into the position God had for him? We have all been called by God. He has a plan for each and every person He created. Are you hiding from the call God has on your life? No good soldier of Christ goes UA (unauthorized absence). Don’t let fear keep you from walking in His perfect will and fulfilling the purpose and plans He has for you. Why settle for less, when God offers you the absolute best? Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. ( Ephesians 4:1 NLT )

Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. — Matthew 14:28-30 (NLT) As long as Peter focused on Jesus, he was able to walk on water. The moment he looked at the wind and the waves, fear gripped him and he began to sink. Let us be careful what we look at. When the storms come, do not let them be a distraction. As we keep our eyes on Jesus and continue moving closer to Him, He will enable us to do all that we are called to do. Instead of studying your storm, examine the living Word of God. Instead of worrying about your storm, worship the One who is greater and higher than any weather pattern. Jesus! He is King of kings and Lord of lords and He reigns. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. — Romans 8:6 (NLT) May our minds be governed by the Spirit. The mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; (Romans 8:6b AMP). For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God (Romans 8:14 NIV). In Matthew 4:1, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, and He overcame. We will live a more abundant life of peace and joy as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6 NIV)

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. — Galatians 5:25 (NLT) My beloved brethren, there is no greater joy than abiding in the presence of Almighty God and basking in the wonderful light of His love. And the greatest peace we can ever have is knowing we are walking aligned to God’s perfect will. Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives (Galatians 5:25 MSG). If we look to Him, He is faithful to show us the way and provide what we need for each step.

Who among you fears the LORD and obeys his servant? If you are walking in darkness, without a ray of light, trust in the LORD and rely on your God. — Isaiah 50:10 (NLT) When the storms of life come rushing in, instead of drifting away from God and allowing your faith to be shipwrecked, draw near and rely on your God. When your journey causes you to wander in the wilderness instead of the promised land, rely on your God. If life situations seem to have you imprisoned, realize that Jesus has proclaimed freedom to those held captive and given a pardon to all prisoners. When all you can see is darkness around you, look up and into the light of the LORD your God.

God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction. — P salm 23:1-3 (MSG) God has a way of leading us to exactly what we need, if we would but follow Him. Don’t be tempted to take the shortcuts, even when it seems like He is taking you the long way around. There is a purpose in every step, there is a profit to be gained from each and every pain and struggle. Keep walking by faith and trust our heavenly Father that He will get you to the desired destination.

Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise,  who shout on parade in the bright presence of God. Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do—they can’t keep it quiet! Your vibrant beauty has gotten inside us— you’ve been so good to us! We’re walking on air! All we are and have we owe to God, Holy God of Israel, our King! — Psalm 89:15-18 (MSG) Passwords give access. We enter His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). Some passwords of praise: Everything that has breath! Make a joyful noise! Acknowledge Him! Worship Him! Just do it! Seven times a day and all day long praise the LORD because of His righteous decrees (Psalm 119:164 AMP). He is worthy to be praised!

What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.  — Joel 1:4 (NKJV) Have you ever felt like the fruit of your work has been chewed up by crawling locusts or maybe your seed/money is consumed by the swarming locusts? Just keep trusting and walking in obedience with the LORD. He says, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust,” (Joel 2:25). You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And His people shall never be put to shame (Joel 2:26).
