If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; — Proverbs 25:21 (NASB1995) I think, our natural inclination, in the flesh, is to withhold good from those who have done us wrong. However, as followers of Yeshua, we are to take a a higher path, the path of unconditional love. Love suffers long and is kind. Love does not take into account a wrong suffered. (See 1 Corinthians 13:4-5) In Matthew 5:43-45 (NASB1995), Yeshua says: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Our Heavenly Father is love, may we continually walk in His love and share it with all who come our way.

I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. — John 17:15-16 (NASB1995) As ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, we are not to adapt to the ways of this world. We are to become progressively more and more like our heavenly Father. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) Unto us a Son is given. Jesus is everything we need. He has done all that needed to be done for us. When He said “ It is finished! ” that is what He meant. Receive Him today. He continually beckons for us to come closer to Him. Receive His counsel, and guidance. Receive His love as an everlasting Father and receive His peace that will rule in our hearts and minds as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. — Philippians 3:8-9a (NLT) Nothing compares to the immeasurable value of knowing Jesus Christ and embracing Him as Lord, in all of His greatness and glory. Let us love the habitation of His house, the place where His glorious presence dwells. That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic (Psalm 27:5 MSG). A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. — John 10:10 (NLT) Every minute the enemy can get you to worry about the future or feel guilty about the past is valuable time he has stolen away from you. The most precious gift we have at any given moment is to enjoy the Presence of our great God. In His Presence, we experience true peace and fullness of joy. As long as the enemy can get you to worry, be anxious or fearful, he has destroyed any chance of you living the rich and satisfying life Jesus came to give you. Worry is a distraction that drains the energy and passion you need to pursue and fulfill the wonderful purpose and plans God has for you. Let him who steals, steal no longer. Cast all your cares on the LORD and totally trust Him with every area of your life.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines;  even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) When circumstances appear utterly hopeless, we can still rejoice in the God of our salvation, our protector and provider, knowing that He is working all things together for our good. God’s sovereign rule will prevail in your life. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm (Nahum 1:3), and in any other adverse situation you face. He makes a way where there is no way. This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life. — Psalm 119:50 (AMP) God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT). God comforts us with His Word. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV). May we not only speak the Word of God into our lives, but also into the lives of others that they be comforted and revived.

The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall trust and take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory and offer praise. — Psalm 64:10 (AMP) Those who are in the Lord can be glad because we know that in Christ, we have the victory! Rejoice in the fact that nothing, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We can trust Him because He is faithful, all powerful and full of grace. Praise the Lord!

Selah   — Psalm 24:7-10 (NKJV) The word  “Selah” at the end of this verse indicates a pause. Let us pause from the busyness of our day and meditate on our great God. He is the King of Glory, strong and mighty. Stop and listen for His voice, today. Open the gates of your heart and let the King of Glory enter. Think about the magnitude of His love and His grace. Do you try to keep God in a box or do you allow Him room in your heart and life to display the greatness of His glory and power?

Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. Psalm 119:17-18 (NLT) May the LORD open our eyes to see and understand wonderful truths in His Word. When we know the truth, the truth shall make us free (John 8:32). Instead of believing the lies of the enemy we are free to embrace the truth of God's Word. His Word says we are more than conquerors. It declares that we have overcome the evil one and the world. Psalm 103:3, 5 says the LORD forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. He satisfies our desires with good things and renews our youth like the eagle’s. Open your eyes and see wonderful things in the Word of God!

Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4 (NAS) No matter what you go through, lean on, rely on, and trust in the LORD at all times. We can be confident that He is greater than any mountain that stands in our way. He is able to bring us through all trials and tribulation. Dwell in His Presence and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart (Psalm 37:4 AMP).

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, He saved me. Psalm 116:5-6 (NIV) Are you in great need? Our great God meets every need, whether physical, mental, emotional, relational or spiritual.  If it is emptiness, He will fill it with His powerful presence. If it is sickness, He brings healing. Are you sad and sorrowful? In His presence there is joy evermore. In times of depression, He is the lifter of your head. Our God is full of grace and compassion. He saves those who are perishing, and gives them the wonderful gift of eternal life. Love, Jackie
