He Still Rules

Image
The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do? But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. — Psalms 11:3-4 (NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, with its crumbling foundation and chaotic conditions. Instead, build your lives on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. (See 1 Corinthians 3:11) Regardless of what they do or say, God’s foundation is strong and firmly in place, etched with this seal: “ The Lord knows the ones who belong to Him ,” and, “ Everyone who invokes the name of the Lord ought to stop doing what they know to be wrong. ” (2 Timothy 2:19 VOICE) For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land. Soon the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. (Psalm 37:9-10 NLT) Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever. For the LORD loves justice, and he will neve...

REST

Image
The Eternal is my shepherd, He cares for me always. He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; — Psalm 23:1-2 (VOICE) As we remember it’s not about man-made rules and religion, but a personal relationship, we can stop striving, be still and come to a greater knowledge of our good and awesome God. Rest in His Presence. Put the yoke of Jesus on and learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest and renewal for your souls. (Matthew 11:29) And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14 (NASB)

Religion or Relationship?

Image
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation] . — Matthew 11:28 (AMP) May we set aside religious rituals and man-made rules and enjoy a genuine, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior. The One who gave His life to set us free. Instead of seeking a dead religion, enjoy a rich and satisfying relationship with a living God who loves you so very much. He is the Prince of Peace and He has given His peace to us (John 14:27). He is Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23) Walk and talk with Him daily. Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.

Far Above

Image
…far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. — Ephesians 1:21 (NKJV) God raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:20). Praise God that we are in the One, who is far above all principality, power, might and dominion. Jesus is above every name that is named.  Christ rules! He is above every sickness, disease, lack, and any other mountain that stands before you. Put all your trust, confidence and hope in the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Call on the name of Jesus. When we keep Him at the center of our lives, the impossible becomes possible, the dead is made alive, the weak become strong, and defeat is turned into victory!

Give Him Your Heart

Image
The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.” — Isaiah 29:13 (NIV) These people were going to church and saying the right things, but God did not have their hearts. After being asked which is the most important commandment? Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ” (Matthew 22:37 NKJV) Won’t you give Him your heart today?

Who Has Your Heart?

The Lord says, “These people worship me with their mouths and honor me with their lips. But their hearts are far from me, and their worship of me is based on rules made by humans.”  — Isaiah 29:13 (GW) Sometimes, we can get so caught up in trying to say the right things, and do the right things but our hearts are not necessarily in it. We are just going through the motions. But, the eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose HEARTS are fully committed to him (2 Chronicles 16:9). God wants our hearts to be devoted to Him. When we set our affections on the LORD, we form a bond that is not easily broken and we truly belong to Him.
