Don't Hesitate

Image
Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. — 1 Kings 18:21 (NASB1995) James 1:6-8 (NASB1995) says: …the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Don’t try to serve God and the god of this world (Satan). You cannot have one foot in the Kingdom of God and one in the world. James 4:4 says: You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Have faith in God, and follow Jesus Christ. He will show you the path of life. Strive to enter through the narrow gate which leads to life, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. (See ...

Why are You Troubled?

Image
And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?” — Luke 24:38 (NASB1995) When Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them told the apostles about the empty tomb, their words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them. (See Luke 24:10-11 NASB1995) Later, Jesus said to them, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” (Luke 24:25-26 NASB1995) Do not let your hearts be troubled. In these end times, we too will suffer some things, but we have a risen Savior. He has overcome this world and gained the victory for us. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT) Have no doubts. Jesus is alive! And at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those wh...

He is There for You

Image
If God hadn’t been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up. — Psalm 94:17-19 (MSG) For the Lord will never walk away from his cherished ones, nor would he forsake his chosen ones who belong to him. (Psalm 94:14 TPT) When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalm 94:19 NLT) …the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide. (Psalm 94:22 NLT) He is there for you.

Worship Him

Image
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. — Matthew 28:16-17 (NKJV) Don’t be a disciple who doubts. James 1:6 says, he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Doubt leads to worry and will put distance between you and your Maker. So come, let us worship: bow before him, on your knees before God, who made us! Oh yes, he’s our God, and we’re the people he pastures, the flock he feeds. (Psalm 95:6-7 MSG) Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2 NKJV) I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD. ” (Psalm 122:1)

The God of all Comfort

Image
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the LORD your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth; — Isaiah 51:12-13a (NKJV) The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11 NKJV) When doubts fill your mind, His comfort will give you renewed hope and cheer. (Psalm 94:19 NLT) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles… (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV)

Our Support

Image
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. — Psalm 94:18-19 (NLT) The unfailing love of the LORD is our support. If God hadn’t been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up  (Psalm 94:17-19 MSG). When you don’t know what to do, run to the LORD. He will calm you down and cheer you up. His mercies are new every morning.

Run to Him!

Image
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. — Psalm 34:8 (MSG) God is good, all the time! Run to Him in every situation. The Word says to “run” versus “walk”, that means we are to have a sense of urgency. Don't get blown away from God by the winds of adversity. Instead, RUN to Him. When fears and doubts arise open your eyes and see the great goodness of our heavenly Father. The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe (Proverbs 18:10 NLT).

Be Confident

Image
And He said to them, Why are you disturbed and troubled, and why do such doubts and questionings arise in your hearts? — Luke 24:38 (AMP) I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] (John 16:33 AMP). Receive this Word in your heart, mind and soul. When we are truly confident in all that the Lord has done for us,  no tribulation or trial will cause us to doubt or question the goodness of our great God. And we will allow no earthly event to steal our joy. Amen.

Got Faith?

Image
Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. — Matthew 13:58 (NKJV) What mighty works are hindered in our lives by unbelief? He who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6-7). Our faith is the hinge that opens the door to all God has for us. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). The Message Bible says, anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6b).

God's Great Provision

Image
And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith.. . — 1 Kings 17:4-5 (NKJV) The prophet Elijah did as the LORD told him, and the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and in the evening; and he drank from the brook (1Kings 17:6). Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? (Luke 24:38) God fed Elijah in the middle of a barren desert. Surely, your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8). Never doubt our great big GOD, just do as the LORD has instructed. Wherever He has called you, He will supply. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

He is the ONE!

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  — John 1:29 (NKJV) “And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”  — John 1:29 (NKJV) John the Baptist came to bear witness of Jesus Christ, but as he sat in prison he began to have doubts. In Matthew 11:2-3, he sent two of his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” What happens in the life of a believer, that he or she comes to a point where they begin to question God? Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God (Hebrews 3:12, NLT). No matter what adversities we face, we must never allow the enemy to get us to doubt our Lord and Savior and His goodness. Jesus is the One! He is the answer to every question and the solution to every problem.

Peace to You!

Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” — Luke 24:36 (NKJV) “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (Luke 24:38) Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you, if you have made the LORD, Most High, your refuge, and your dwelling place (Psalm 91:5-8). Jesus stands in your midst today and He speaks peace, to you. Abide in Him.

His Unfailing Love Supports Us

Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:17-19 (NLT) I know for a fact, if God had not reached out and helped me I would not be here today. His unfailing love is our support. When we hit rock bottom in life, it's the hand of our heavenly Father that reaches out and picks us up. He carries us close to Him and gives us the strength to go on. When you are upset and beside yourself, He will calm you down and cheer you up (Psalm 94:19, The Message).
