Blessed & Favored

Image
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts,
how blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation]. — Psalms 84:11-12 (AMP) Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalms 34:9-10 NKJV) How blessed is the man who has made Yahweh his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who stray into falsehood. (Psalms 40:4 LSB)  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalms 9:10 LSB) For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield. (Psalms 5:12 NASB1995) And Your favor lasts a lifetime! (See Psalms 30:...

Here to Rescue

Image
For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. Here’s the point. God didn’t send His Son into the world to judge it; instead, He is here to rescue a world headed toward certain destruction.  — John 3:16-17 (VOICE) Believe in God, believe also in Yeshua. (See John 14:1) Although you haven’t seen Jesus, you still love Him. Although you don’t yet see Him, you do believe in Him and celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words. You are receiving the salvation of your souls as the result of your faith. (1 Peter 1:8-9 VOICE) I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10 NASB1995)

Inward Transformation

Image
Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. — Romans 12:2 (TPT) Let us regularly renew our minds with the Word of God, so we can be continually transformed from the inside out. The worldly culture focuses on “me, myself and I.” It gives more attention to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life. (See 1 John 2:16) So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (See Romans 8:6 NLT) The Message Bible says: Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. (Romans 8:6-8) Amen.

He Satisfies

Image
Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. — Psalm 107:8-9 (NLT) Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless. Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died. (Psalm 107:4-5 NLT) Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery. They rebelled against the words of God, scorning the counsel of the Most High. (Psalm 107:10-11 NLT) Whenever we rebel against God and His wise counsel, we set out on a dark path that leads to death. The LORD will guide you along the best pathway for your life. He will advise you and watch over you. (See Psalm 32:8) “LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.” (Psalms 107:19-20 NLT) Whether you are wandering in the wilderness, lost and homeless or sitting in darkness and deep gloom. Cry out to YAHWEH for hel...

Just Come!

Image
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” — Psalms 32:8-9 (TPT) Jesus said, “ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest .” (Matthew 11:28 NKJV) When He says: “ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me …” it’s an invitation to be continually connected to Him, and to learn from Him as His disciple. (See Matthew 11:29 NASB) He never pushes us away. Jesus is always calling us to come closer to Him. He is Immanuel, God with us. We never have to run away from or attempt to hide from our mighty God. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of l...

Be Renewed

Image
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. — Colossians 3:9-10 (NLT) …put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], (Ephesians 4:22-23 AMP). Putting on our new nature starts with what we allow our minds to dwell on. What is on our minds, eventually gets into our hearts and reveals itself in our speech and actions. Romans 12:2 (TPT) says, stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. May your renewed mind be fixed on and submitted to God’s...

Radiate with Hope

Image
Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! — Romans 15:13 (TPT) Our God is a fountain of hope. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times. (Romans 12:12 TPT) And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:5 NLT) Do not let your heart envy sinners, but live in the fear of the LORD always. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. — Proverbs 23:17-18 (NASB)

Light & Momentary

Image
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NIV) Let us remember that the troubles we experience in this life, are light and momentary, when compared with the eternal glory they are producing for us. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever (2 Corinthians 4:18 MSG). After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. (1 Peter 5:10 AMP)

Trust in the LORD

Image
“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT) It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8 NKJV). He will always be there when you need him. When the fiery furnace gets exceedingly hot, you will not be bothered. After you come through the situation,  the smell of fire will not be on you. When things appear to be drying up, you will not have a worry, because the LORD is your source. As long as we keep our hope and confidence in the LORD, we will not be disappointed. But I have trusted and relied on and been confident in Your lovingkindness and faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice and delight in Your salvation. (Psalm 13:5 AMP)

A Higher Calling

Image
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. — Ephesians 4:1-3 (NLT) The Amplified Bible implores us to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God… (Ephesians 4:1). Living as a follower of Christ is a higher calling. However, answering the call of God for your life will lead you to a live in a higher place, closer to our heavenly Father and above earthly circumstances. You have been called and chosen by God, will you rise to the occasion?

In Faithfulness & Truth

Image
O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, even purposes planned of old [and fulfilled] in faithfulness and truth. — Isaiah 25:1 (AMP) We can praise the LORD at all times because He is faithful and true. No matter what storm rages around us, the LORD, our God, our El Shaddai (benevolent Blesser), is with us and He is faithful to bring us through, even if He has to carry us. The LORD is a wonder-working God and He will fulfill every promise He has spoken. He created us on purpose and for a purpose. As we continue to walk in His ways, we can be certain that  the good plans He has for us will be accomplished.

Follow Close Behind

Image
When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. — Psalm 63:6-8 (NKJV) Think of the LORD and His goodness as you lie on your bed at night, because He faithfully brings you through each day. Abba Father awakens you in the morning and with His help you have the strength to get up. His fresh mercies and new compassions enable you to overcome challenges and fulfill all that He has called you to. Follow closely behind the LORD and His right hand will be your support.

Willingly Receive Him

...they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. — John 6:19-21 (NKJV) May we eagerly receive Jesus, just as the disciples willing received Him into their boat. Let us receive Him in our hearts, and in our homes. May we take Him into our workplace and everywhere we go. With Jesus in our boat we can be certain that we will ENDURE the storms of life and arrive safely at our desired destination. With Jesus near, there is no reason to fear. Amen!

The Power of Prayer

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was praying very hard to God for him. — Acts 12:5 (GW) While the church was earnestly praying to God for Peter, an angel from the Lord stood near Peter, and his cell was filled with light. The angel woke him up, and said, “Hurry! Get up!” At that moment the chains fell from Peter’s hands (Acts 12:7). When they came to the city gate, it opened up by itself and Peter was free. James 5:16 says, the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. How much more so, when believers stand together in agreement. Let us pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)!

Desire a Long & Prosperous Life?

Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. Psalm 34:12-14 (NLT) The recipe for a long and prosperous life: Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6). Speak the truth in love. Do not grow weary in doing good (2 Thessalonians 3:13). Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts and make every effort to do what leads to peace, including bearing with each other and forgiving one another, even as Christ forgave you.

No Fear of Bad News

It is good to be merciful and generous. Those who are fair in their business will never be defeated. Good people will always be remembered. They won't be afraid of bad news; their hearts are steady because they trust the Lord. Psalm 112:5-7 (NCV) Good comes to those who are merciful and generous and fair in their business dealings. The righteous will be remembered for a long time. They have no fear of bad news because they put their confidence in the Lord. Amen. Love, Jackie

Take Refuge

"May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge." Ruth 2:12 (NIV) In the above Scripture, Boaz is talking to Ruth, who left her homeland and her people to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi and the God of Israel. After the death of Naomi's two sons, one daughter-in-law returned to her people, but Ruth clung to Naomi and declared Naomi's God would be her God. May we leave all behind us to take refuge under the wings of Almighty God. In Philippians 3:8, the Apostle Paul says he counts everything as rubbish when compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus. Let us take refuge under the wings of the LORD, where He cares for us and keeps us safe. Let nothing keep you from dwelling under His mighty wings. In His Mighty Care Love, Jackie
