But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) We have been called out of darkness. For the Father rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (See Colossians 1:13-14) Now we are light in the Lord, let us walk as children of light. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; (See Ephesians 5:8,11). May you be a beacon of light, shining out clearly, in the world of darkness, holding out and offering to everyone the word of life… (See Philippians 2:15-16 AMP)

But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. — 1 Peter 2:9 (TPT) Let us be devoted to the One who called us out of darkness and made us members of His royal family. This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.  (Romans 8:15-16 MSG) No matter “ what ” happens, know “ who ” you are: a child of God. And remember our heavenly Father is with you and He always takes care of His children.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NASB) Not only have we been called out of darkness. We have been called into His marvelous light, into holiness and purity. We have been called into His everlasting peace and inexplicable joy. We have been called into His amazing grace and mercy. We have been called into God’s family and we have received a glorious inheritance. We have been called into His purpose and good plan for our lives. May we proclaim the wondrous acts of the One who called us. Amen.

God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4) We are chosen to show others the goodness of God, to tell about the wonderful works of our awesome God. We are chosen to be a holy people, God’s very own possession. We are chosen and called children of Almighty God, and co-heirs with Christ. In the past you had never received mercy, but now you have received God’s mercy. (1 Peter 2:10) We are chosen to receive God’s grace and mercy. Chosen to live in His marvelous light, and walk in His love. We are chosen with a purpose to execute His perfect will and plan on the earth. Let us be about our Father's business. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, ...

God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love… (Ephesians 1:4). We are to be in the world but not of the world. What communion has light with darkness? He called us out of darkness. As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16) Jesus said, “ You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. ” (Matthew 5:14) May we proclaim His praises and let His light shine brightly through us. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord....

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) We are God’s special people. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1 NIV) He called us out of darkness and into His light. He called us out of bondage, sin and death. Jesus set us free and put before us, the path that leads to everlasting life. He called us out of lack, to live a full, more abundant life. He called us out of discouragement and defeat. Instead of being a victim, we are called to success and victory! Whenever God pulls us out of something, it is to give us something even better. We are the generation God has chosen to be here now, for such a time as this. Let us proclaim the praises of God and invite others to live in the light of His extravagant love and grace.

(Ephesians 5:8 NASB) We have been called into His marvelous light. Now we are light. As children of God, let us live above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom we appear as lights in the world of darkness. (Philippians 2:15) How do we shine? We shine as we share the love, kindness, and grace of Jesus Christ. We shine has we exude the peace and joy, that He has given to us. As we proclaim His praises, we shine. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
