In Passionate Pursuit

Image
“ So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] LORD [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him]. ” — Hosea 6:3a (AMP) Let us press on to know the LORD. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared [with awe-filled reverence] above all gods. (1 Chronicles 16:25 AMP) For His lovingkindness prevails over us [and we triumph and overcome through Him], and the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! (Hallelujah!) (Psalm 117:2 AMP) May we be in a persistent, passionate pursuit of His Presence. Honor, heed (obey) and deeply cherish Him. “As sure as dawn breaks, so sure is his daily arrival. He comes as rain comes, as spring rain refreshing the ground.” — Hosea 6:3b (MSG)

Lead me to the Rock!

Image
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. — Psalm 61:2-4 (NASB) When we are overwhelmed by life’s challenges, let us be led to the Rock. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 NLT) For the Lord our God, in our midst, is a great and awesome God. If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31) As for me, I trust [confidently] in You and Your greatness, O LORD; I said, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14 AMP) “…guide me into your glory, where I am safe and sheltered. Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me.” — Psalm 61:2b-3a (TPT)

Proclaim His Greatness

Image
“I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will boast in the LORD; the humble will hear and be glad. Proclaim the LORD’s greatness with me; let us exalt his name together.” — Psalms 34:1-3 (CSB) No matter what the current circumstance, let us continue to speak His praise. Instead of talking about how hard your situation is, proclaim how great is our God. “Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” (Psalms 100:4 NASB) “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” — Psalms 150:6 (NASB)

Seek Him Continually

Image
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. — Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NASB) May we seek God's will in all we do. Put Him first in how you spend your time, use your finances and in how you utilize the talents and gifts He has bestowed upon you. Psalm 115:12 says, the LORD has been mindful of us. Let your mind be occupied with thoughts about His greatness and goodness more than anything else. Give Him your whole heart and full adoration.  Worthy is the LORD, our God, to receive all praise, glory and honor! You have been my constant helper; therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand reaches down and holds me up. — Psalm 63:7-8 (VOICE)

Adore Him

Image
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. — 1 Chronicles 29:11 (NLT) Let us adore (love and respect deeply) our God. He is the Most High God, above all. He is above your earthly circumstances. He is above all sickness and disease. He is above all fear and doubt. He is the One true God. He is Almighty God, nothing is too difficult for Him. Be a God-worshiper and proclaim His praises, at all times. Here’s the story I’ll tell my friends when they come to worship, and punctuate it with Hallelujahs: Shout Hallelujah, you God-worshipers; give glory, you sons of Jacob; adore him, you daughters of Israel. He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening. — Psalm 22:22-24 (MSG)

Ready Access

Image
Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. — Hebrews 4:14-15 (MSG) This world is full of mass distractions, that will draw us away from God and cause us to wander. So, let us purposefully, press on to know the LORD. (Hosea 6:3a) Let us become personally acquainted with Him and continually grow in our understanding of His greatness and faithfulness. We have an open invitation to draw near. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. (Hebrews 4:16 AMP)

Moved with Compassion

Image
Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” — Mark 1:40-42 (NKJV) Immediately after Jesus spoke the word, the leprosy was gone, the leper's skin was smooth and healthy. (Mark 1:43) This leper came to Jesus. He humbled himself and kneeled down. He acknowledged that Jesus was able to fulfill his request, when he said, “You can make me clean.” May we humbly approach Jesus, acknowledge the greatness of our God and ask for His help, because Jesus is always compassionate willing and able.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) Are you willing to trust Him and take Him at His Word?

Let it Rain

Image
Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth. — Hosea 6:3 (NKJV) The Amplified Bible says: “… let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] LORD [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him]. ” When we are on a continual pursuit to know the LORD, He will come to us like the rain. The rain falls to the earth and replenishes it. When there is no rain, we experience a drought, things dry up and die. The ground becomes hard. But when the rain comes, things are refreshed and grow. When we pursue God, we will experience times of refreshing and growth. He will pour out His Spirit and restore and renew us. Hardened hearts will become soft and tender, allowing His love to flow through. Fall upon us O’LORD!

Deeply Cherish Him

Image
“So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] LORD [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him]. His appearing is prepared and is as certain as the dawn, and He will come to us [in salvation] like the [heavy] rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.” — Hosea 6:3 (AMP) Don’t just let others tell you about Him. Press on to know the Lord for yourself. He wants a personal relationship with each one of us. As we set our affections on the LORD, a Sunday morning sermon will just scratch the surface. It will not be enough to satisfy. Daily delight yourself in the  LORD, and you will experience fullness of joy in His Presence, and pleasures forevermore.. Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. (Psalm 105:4 AMP)

Stay Plugged In

Image
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead… — Ephesians 1:19-20 (NLT) Just as we diligently charge our mobile devices, let us persistently stay plugged into the Presence of Almighty God and His wonder-working power. We don't have to worry about power outages or exceeding the usage with our great God. Let us keep our batteries fully charged with His power that enables us to live the extraordinary life He has called us to live. As we stay closely connected to Him, we rise above the circumstances of this life. A close relationship with Him allows His power to work in us and through us. When our heartstrings intertwine with His, the power and strength of His love is dispersed within us. Then we can be conduits of His powerful love, positively energizing the lives of those around us.

No Boundaries

Image
God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness. — Psalm 145:3 (MSG) We serve a mighty, big God. His love is limitless. His grace and mercy knows no bounds. His supply of peace and joy are everlasting. Time and space have no hold on His mighty power. The extent of how much of Him we experience in our lives is limited by our expectations. To the woman with the issue of blood, all she had to do was touch the hem of His garment and His power was released to change her life forever. (Matthew 9:20-22). For the centurion, all Jesus had to do was speak the word and his servant was healed. (Luke 7:7). When we call out to God, He answers. What is they cry of your heart today? Humbly come to Him with earnest expectation that He is all you need Him to be and He has exactly what you need to experience victory in your life.

Fix Your Thoughts

Image
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD God is the eternal Rock. — Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT) Fix your thoughts upon the LORD —His goodness, His greatness, His unrelenting love for you. Remember His mercy and grace. Think about His mighty strength and wonder-working power. “For with God nothing will be impossible.”  (Luke 1:37 NKJV) The distractions of the enemy will only cause you to drift away from God and tempt you to quit. As we keep our trust and reliance upon the LORD, our Helper, we will experience perfect peace. Depend on God and keep at it because in the LORD God you have a sure thing (Isaiah 26:4 MSG): overwhelming victory, good success, true peace and everlasting joy, etc.

Our Only Hope

Image
I’m all ears, all eyes before you. Save me from my enemies, GOD— you’re my only hope! Teach me how to live to please you, because you’re my God. Lead me by your blessed Spirit into cleared and level pastureland.  — Psalm 143:9-10 (MSG) God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness (Psalm 145:3 MSG).The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made (Psalm 145:9 NIV). He gives to all life, breath, and all things (Acts 17:25 NKJV). Keep your ears open to the sound of His loving voice. Fix your eyes upon Him. He is the answer, the solution, the provider, the healer. He is our only Hope!

Don’t Give Up!

Image
We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9  (NCV) Look at the troubles before you, as opportunities for God to display His greatness. No matter what hostile environments we must endure, God is there with us. We are not abandoned nor forgotten. We may get hurt, but we are not destroyed. Never give up the hope of living the abundant and fruitful life Jesus came to give us (John 10:10).

Increase & Comfort

You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth. You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.  — Psalm 71:20-21 (NKJV) No matter what we go through in this life, the LORD has plans to give you a future and a hope. He promises to deliver the righteous out of all their troubles (Psalm 34:17). Our heavenly Father will increase your greatness and lovingly comfort you, like no one else can.

Speak of His Awesome Acts

Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.  — Psalm 145:6 (NKJV) He turned the sea into dry land so His people could escape from their enemies. He kept Daniel safe in the den of lions. He delivered His faithful servants from the fiery furnace. Their garments didn't even smell like smoke. This is the mighty, awesome God we serve! He does not change. He still guides His people safely through the storms. Tell others about the great things God has done in your life. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised!

He is the ROCK!

I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.  — Deuteronomy 32:3-4 (NIV) The LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God. A God you can depend upon, without exception. He is the only One worthy of all your praise. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages] (Isaiah 26:4, AMP).

Highly Honor His Name!

I will thank the LORD at all times. My mouth will always praise him. My soul will boast about the LORD. Those who are oppressed will hear it and rejoice. Praise the LORD’s greatness with me. Let us highly honor his name together.  — Psalm 34:1-3 (GW) Give thanks to the LORD at all times. Constantly speak his praises! Boast about all that God is doing in your life. It will encourage those who hear your testimony. Let us highly honor His name by living HOLY, being HUMBLE and staying HUNGRY for the things of God!
