Deeply at Peace

Image
Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:31-33 (MSG) When others abandon you, remember the Presence of God is with you. In His Presence, you have the power, peace and grace to do all He has called you to do. Even in the midst of difficulties and challenges, you will be unshakable and deeply at peace as you trust in Jesus.

Be Unshakable

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (CSB) In the Message Bible, Jesus said, “ I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world. ” (John 16:33) Even though we will experience suffering in this world, we can be unshakable and assured because in Jesus, we have a sure foundation. Because He has conquered the world, we can be courageous, and deeply at peace. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (MSG)

Be Assured

‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ — Isaiah 41:10 (AMP) No need to be distressed or discouraged. Strength and help are available. Our mighty God will give you the strength to overcome difficulties and triumph over trials and tribulations. King Jesus is the source of our strength and He has an endless supply. There is nothing to difficult for Him. Call upon His name and you can be assured you will receive help in your time of need.

Unshakable & Assured

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward… — 1 Samuel 16:13 (NKJV) After David was anointed to be the next king over Isarael, he ended up being on the run for his life. In 1 Samuel 19:2, Jonathan told David, “My father Saul seeks to kill you.”  David had to live as a fugitive and hide out in caves before he reigned as king. After God has given you a word or revelation of your purpose or destiny, know that you will encounter challenges and experience difficulties. But, no wicked scheme of the enemy can thwart the wonderful plans of our great God. The accomplishment of the dream comes with much effort. Jesus said, “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:33 MSG). He is greater. Amen!

…strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”   — A cts 14:22 (NKJV) Paul and Barnabas encouraged the believers to continue in the faith, and they also warned believers that we will go through many (not a few) tribulations. The word “through” indicates forward movement, a step-by-step progression, a victorious outcome. No matter what adverse circumstances arise, don’t stop and He will see you through. You overcome because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” John 16:33 (MSG)

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (MSG) Jesus said, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27 NLT). Why seek peace in the things of this world? Jesus forewarned us that in this world, we will continue to experience difficulties. But our comfort and confidence lies in the fact that in Jesus, we are victorious. He has already overcome the world and everything in it. Don’t be moved by earthly events. In Christ, our Savior, we are unshakable. Stand strong on the sure foundation, and keep praising Him. When troubles arise, keep your eyes on Jesus and continue to follow Him, as He shows you the way through each and every situation. Rest assured that no matter what comes, Jesus has already won ...

God with Us

Image
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,”   which is translated, “God with us.” — Matthew 1:23 (NKJV) Whatever you go through today, remember, God is with you. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you (Isaiah 43:2 NLT). Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me? (Hebrews 13:5-6 MSG)

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (MSG) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you (1 Peter 4:12 NLT).  Jesus told us, here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows (John 16:33 NLT). However, as we place our trust in God, we will stand unshaken by the ordeals of this life and assured of the Lord’s deliverance. Take heart! Jesus has overcome the world.

Move on to Maturity

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. — Ephesians 4:1 (NIV) As any parent can attest, we only want the best for our children. We want to see them do well and excel in life. Our heavenly Father desires the same for us. Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity (Hebrews 6:1a, NIV). May we live the dynamic life, full of freedom, power, and joy, that Jesus paid the price for us to have! Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves (James 1:22, NAS). Stand firm and mature [in spiritual growth], convinced and fully assured in everything willed by God (Colossians 4:12b, AMP).

Assurance of Acceptance

All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me]. — John 6:37 (AMP) We may have been abandoned and rejected by a person, but Jesus says He will never reject those who come to Him. We can be assured of finding acceptance in the arms of Jesus. He wants us to come, just as we are. And as long as you keep coming to Him, He will keep holding on to you!

Bright Hope!

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. — Roman 8:28 (NKJV) Not everything that happens in our lives is good, but we can be assured that God works all things together for good in His Master plan. Even in the midst of tragedy, God is still in control and His plans for us are for well-being and not harm, to give us bright hope and a glorious future!

Live by Faith

And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”  — Hebrews 10:38 (NLT) Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1). We are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved (Hebrews 10:39). Be assured that you will see the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living. Do not lose hope. Keep believing!

He Will Take Care of You

Turn your burdens over to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will never let the righteous person stumble. Psalm 55:22 (GW) Turn all your burdens over to the LORD. You can be fully assured that our heavenly Father will take care of you. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). May your heart and mind be filled with the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, as you trust in Him.
