On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. We do this by looking away from all that will distract us and focusing our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarded its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) The Message Bible says: “Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.” May we never lose sight of the good and wonderful plan God has for each one of us.

This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. — Acts 17:11 (NKJV) May we, like the people of Berea, be open-minded to receive the Word with great eagerness, and examine the Scriptures daily. The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). The entrance of His Word gives light and understanding (Psalm 119:130). It strengthens us, and comforts us in any affliction. The Word of God gives us life (Psalm 119:50). His Word is settled in heaven and endures to all generations. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). May we delight ourselves in the Word of God.

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him. For he held fast to the LORD; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments... — 2 Kings 18:5-6 (NKJV) King Hezekiah put his trust in God. The LORD was with him; he prospered wherever he went (2 Kings 18:7). He remained faithful to the LORD in everything , so the LORD was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did (2 Kings 18:6,7 NLT). The secret to his success: He held fast to God—never loosened his grip—and obeyed to the letter everything God had commanded Moses (2 Kings 18:6 MSG). What are you holding onto? Fears, worries, anxieties? Hold fast to the LORD. Cling to Him and never depart from following His ways and success in all you do will surely follow.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. — 1 Corinthians 13:7 (NLT) We are to love one another deeply, from the heart (1Peter 1:22, NIV). Sincere love never gives up on others. It always looks for and is ready to believe the best of every person. True love accepts people for who they are, and encourages them to do their best. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, without growing weak (1 Corinthians 13:7, AMP). Let our love for others be strong, always hopeful and resilient!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.  — Psalm 100:4-5 (NIV) The LORD is good! And He is good to all; He showers compassion on all his creation (Psalm 145:9). The Message versions says, “for God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love...” (Psalm 100:5). May we enter His gates, with a sacrifice of thanksgiving, acknowledging that Jesus paid the price for us. He is the ultimate sacrifice. Enter His courts with a song of praise. For our God is good to us, all the time!

Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead. Psalm 86:11-13 (NIV) May our hearts be undivided, singly sold out for the LORD. Let us love Him with all our hearts. Learn His ways and honor Him in everything you do and say. Great is His love toward us. He is our deliverer. Glorify His name forever!

The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26 (NLT) Depend on the Lord. Look for Him in every situation and wait quietly (with no mumbling or complaining) for His deliverance. God is good and He is faithful.

"Then he who who had received the one talent came. 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' " Matthew 25:24 (NKJ) In the parable of the talents, Jesus tells the story about a master who before going on a long journey, gave his servants talents, each according to his own ability. The one he gave five talents made another five talents and the one who received two made two more talents. Upon the master's return, these two heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. Daniel 9:13 (NIV) If disaster is knocking at your door, seek the favor of the LORD. Give attention to His Word by obeying it and standing on His promises.
