Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]. — 1 John 5:21 (AMP) Do not love the world or the things in the world. You must not fear them, for the LORD your God Himself fights for you.’ Deuteronomy 3:21-22 (NKJ) Just as the LORD fought for Joshua and the Israelites, He fights for His people today. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. 1 John 4:15-16 (NIV) If we are ignorant of everything else, we need to know that God loves us. He chose you before the creation of the world to be in Him (Ephesians 1:4). His desire is for us to be with Him, close to Him. In compassion, He adopted us into His family to be His sons and daughters. That is an intimate relationship. We can always rely on God's love because it is unfailing and everlasting. His love will see you through every challenge. It was God's love that sent Jesus to the cross, so we could have our sins forgiven and fellowship in the holy presence of our heavenly Father.
