Be Persistent in Prayer

Image
Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. — Colossians 4:2  (AMP) I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. (1 Timothy 2:1 NLT) But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. (1 Peter 4:7) The LORD will be very gracious to you at the sound of your voice; when He hears it, He will answer. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT)

Be Thankful

Image
Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP) Our heavenly Father woke us up this morning, so we have something to be thankful for. May I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. (Psalm 103:2-5 NLT) Let us be thankful and always remember the good things our heavenly Father does for us. Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15 NASB)

Keep Building!

Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose ... — Ezra 4:4-6 (NKJV) When the people of Judah, returned from captivity to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, their adversaries came. First they acted like they wanted to help them, then they proceeded to continually discourage and harass them (for years). When we seek to fulfill the call of God in our lives, we can expect opposition, those who want to tear down what we are building. There will be those who come to frustrate the work of God, but greater is He who is in us and with us. Let us be relentless, persistent and determined as we carry out our God-given assignments. Keep building! Complete the work. Keep the faith.

Don’t Stop

So the children of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not cease to cry out to the LORD our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.” — 1 Samuel 7:8 (NKJV) In 1 Samuel 7:9, Samuel gave the LORD a burnt offering and cried out to Him for Israel, and the LORD answered him. So the Philistines were subdued, and they did not come anymore into the territory of Israel (1 Samuel 7:13a NKJV). Don’t ever stop calling upon the LORD. When we call upon Him, He will answer. (Jeremiah 33:3) First Thessalonians 5:17 (AMP) tells us to be unceasing and persistent in prayer. Let's not just pray for ourselves and the challenges we face, but also for our families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, nation and the world. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT). But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown...

His Love Remains

Image
“For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. — Isaiah 54:10 (NLT) Sometimes,  our earthly father or mother will abandon us, or a spouse may leave us. However, don’t let negative experiences with flawed humanity stop you from being open to receive all the love, and peace  our heavenly Father lavishes on us. The LORD’s ways are higher than our ways. When He says His love for us will remain, He is faithful to keep His Word. Our actions don’t determine His love for us. The fact that He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4), and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13 NIV) demonstrates the strong determination of His love. His love is very intentional and persistent. His covenant of peace and blessing is everlasting. It will never be broken. Glory hallelujah!

Never Lose Hope

"... there was a widow who kept coming to this judge, saying, 'Give me my rights against my enemy.' For a while the judge refused to help her. But afterwards, he thought to himself, 'Even though I don't respect God or care about people, I will see that she gets her rights. Otherwise she will continue to bother me until I am worn out." Luke 18:3-5 (NCV) Jesus told the story of the persistent widow to teach His followers that they should always pray and never lose hope (Luke 18:1, NCV). Jesus went on to say, God will ALWAYS give what is right to His people who cry to Him night and day, and He will not be slow to answer them. God will answer his people quickly (Luke 18:6-7, NCV). Glory hallelujah!!! Cry out to God my brothers and sisters. Cry out to Him night and day and never lose hope. Amen. Love, Jackie
