Manna for Your Morning

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. — Luke 19:5-6 (NKJV) Joyfully welcome Jesus into every area of your life. Don’t confine Him to your Sunday morning. Jesus is Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23). He will be with you in the fire and in the storm. When you fall into a pit, it will be His hand that reaches down and pulls you out. He will set your feet on solid ground (Psalm 40:2). He will turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Jesus alone is our hope. He is our joy and our peace. Jesus is the very source of our strength. In Him and because of Him, we have the victory! Receive Him with a joyful heart.

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way (Luke 19:3-4). What kind of action are we taking to ensure that we can see the Lord? Let's not fall short when it comes to seeking God. Jesus does reside in our house, our physical bodies. Welcome Him into every room, with great joy and excitement. What a privilege to have His Spirit dwelling inside of us. Amen!
