Fix Your Focus

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? — Romans 8:31-32 (AMP) With God on our side, we have no need to worry or be anxious. When you focus on the problem, you feel downcast, defeated and hopeless. Instead of going down that path, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, our living hope, and be elevated to see your circumstances from God’s perspective: above your current state of affairs. Our God is mighty and above all, in addition, He is gracious and merciful. Amen. But as for me, I will look expectantly for the LORD and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. He Sticks Up for Us

If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?   The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. — Romans 8:32, 34 (MSG) What then shall we say to these things? He only wants to steal, kill and destroy, but we have Jesus constantly interceding on our behalf.  Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? Gather

He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. — Matthew 12:30  (NASB) Let us gather, in love, peace and unity. Tear down the walls that separate and build bridges that connect us. In John 17:20-21 (MSG), Jesus prayed: “I’m praying not only for them but also for those who will believe in me because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind— Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, so they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me.” “This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse. ”— Matthew 12:30 (MSG)

Get in Position

“O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” — 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV) When you face opposition, look to the LORD, the source of our help. In 2 Chronicles 20:17, the people of Judah and Jerusalem were told they would not need to fight in the battle, but to position themselves and they would see the salvation of the LORD. We too must position ourselves for battle. When they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against their enemies and their enemies were defeated. (2 Chronicles 20:22). When opposition comes, let us get in the proper position. Pray and sing praises to the LORD, for the victory He has prepared for us. Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)

God is For You

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31 (NKJV) God is for YOU. He chose you. He accepted you and brought you into His family. And He loves you right where you're at today. Nothing can successfully stand against you! Our mighty God is greater than any doctor’s diagnosis. The name of the LORD is above every adverse circumstance that comes your way. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

He is with You!

Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (AMP) No matter what dark valley you go through, no one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For He will be with you as He was with Moses. He will not fail you or abandon you (Joshua 1:5 NLT). This is His command—“be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NLT). The LORD is our loving shepherd; He is our protection and our guide. And best of all, He is with you!

Don’t Know What to Do?

Lift up your eyes to the hills— from whence comes your help? Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD (Jeremiah 17:7).

More with Us!

  So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” — 2 Kings 6:16 (NKJV) When prophet Elisha's servant got up and went out, he was overcome with fear as he saw the great army that had surrounded the city. But Elisha prayed that the LORD would open his eyes that he may see. Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (2 Kings 6:17). When it seems the enemy has you surrounded on every side, do not fear. There are more on our side than his. If God is for us who can be against? With our God we gain the victory, and He tramples down our enemies (Psalm 108:13). Praise the LORD!

Be Still & Know

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! — Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) Take a long, loving look at God. For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth (Psalm 47:2). Recognize and understand that He is above your circumstances. He is above everything! Know that He is greater than our enemies who work against us. We are of God and have already overcome them, because the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Amen!

Abandon Yourself

O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open. — 2 Corinthians 6:11-13 God’s heart is wide open to us. He has freely spoken to us. God has opened the floodgates of heaven, to His abundant blessings, and prosperity, but we stand on the other side of the gate pushing against it, preventing it from opening, because we are resisting God and what He wants to do in our lives. Release your concerns. Abandon yourself to Abba Father. Surrender all to Him and let the floodgates open. Submit to His will and His Holy Spirit within. Always respond to God with your heart wide open.

God is for Us!

What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] — Romans 8:31 (AMP) With God on our side, we cannot lose. No weapon that is formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Spirit Himself makes intercession for us (Romans 8:26). Our Advocate, Christ is at the right hand of God, He also makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34). We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Let us give thanks to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). Amen!

God is For Us!

If God hadn’t been for us —all together now, Israel, sing out! —If God hadn’t been for us when everyone went against us, we would have been swallowed alive by their violent anger, swept away by the flood of rage, drowned in the torrent; We would have lost our lives in the wild, raging water. — Psalm 124:1-5 (MSG) With God on our side, who can stand against us? No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory (Deuteronomy 20:4, NIV). Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV)!

Know This!

My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!  — Psalm 56:9 (NLT) If you don't know anything else, know this: our mighty God is on your side. He is for you, not against. He wants you to trade your bitterness and sorrow for joy, and your desperation, for His peace. He will turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28, NLT). Great is God's goodness and it abounds toward you!

Help is Here!

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.  — Psalm 54:4 (NIV) God is on your side. And if God is for you, who can stand against you? He is an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Since God has assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

A Shield for Me

LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah  But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. — Psalm 3:1-3 (NKJV) No matter how hopeless the situation seems, in God, our hope is alive and we have the victory! He is our Helper. The LORD is a shield that surrounds us on all sides. As we abide in Him, our heavenly Father is our protective shield. And He will lift our heads up above our enemies all around us; (Psalm 27:6).

Rebel Not!

“There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths.”  — Job 24:13 (NKJV) Don't be one of those who fight against God. Who do you think is going to win that battle? Jesus came as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness (John 12:46). We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Let us walk as children of light and He will lead us along on the path of life. For this light we have within us produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true (Ephesians 5:8-9). Abide in the light!

What Concerns You?

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.  — Psalm 138:7-8 (NKJV) When the winds of adversity blow into your life, remember that Almighty God in you is greater than he who is in the world. Abide in the LORD, our strong tower and you will not be moved. No matter what happens in your life, our heavenly Father will perfect everything that concerns you. He delivers the righteous out of all their troubles (Psalm 34:17).

Good to Come Out of Evil

Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid! I can’t take God’s place. Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it. This was to keep many people alive, as he is doing now.” — Genesis 50:19-20 (GW) What Joseph's brothers meant for evil, by selling him into slavery, God planned to use for good.  Whatever evil the enemy has planned against you, God will use it for good. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
