Now is the Time

Image
Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, till He comes and rains righteousness on you. — Hosea 10:12 (NKJV) Fallow ground is ground that has intentionally not been touched, worked or cultivated. Fallow ground is every heart that hasn’t allowed God to touch it. Fallow ground is every area of your life that the Word of God has not penetrated, taken root and transformed. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek and search diligently for the LORD [and to long for His blessing] (Hosea 10:12 AMP) How do we break up the fallow ground? By opening our hearts and receiving the Word of God, His grace and His love. Once we receive His Word (seed) and let it take root in our hearts, we will bear much fruit. I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousne...

Everlasting Covenant of Peace

For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. — Isaiah 54:10 (NKJV) The LORD has established a covenant of peace with His people. And God is faithful to keep His Word. His covenant lasts forever and extends to every generation. When we bring our children up in the peaceful, loving Presence of God, we are passing on a legacy of God’s love and peace. Isaiah 54:13 says, all your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. When children are given that foundation of faith by their earthly parents, teachers, etc., they have a good strong root system of being planted in the LORD. May we continually plant seeds of God’s love and peace in the young people who are within our sphere of influence.

Thrive!

Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. — Matthew 13:22 (NKJV) Weeds of worry and illusions about getting more and wanting everything under the sun strangle what was heard, and nothing comes of it (Matthew 13:22b, The Message). Don't let the worries of this world choke the Word out of you. First Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares upon God. When we clear our hearts of worldly cares, we allow the Word to grow, take root, and bear much fruit in our lives. Get rid of the thorns and thrive! Stand on the Word, no matter what, and you will persevere through all seasons of life!

Flourish in the House of God

But I am like an olive tree  flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. — Psalm 52:8 (NIV) In order to flourish in the house of God, we have to abide in Him long enough to take root. Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7). Jesus said, “If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) May you flourish in the house of God and bear much fruit for His kingdom.
