He Knows the Plans

Image
“People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.” — Proverbs 19:3 (NLT) Many lives are ruined because people choose “to do their own thing” instead of seeking and yielding to the will of our heavenly Father, Who created us and knows the plans He has for us. His plans are for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) “You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.” (Proverbs 19:21 NLT) “No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD.” (Proverbs 21:30 NLT) Second Samuel 22:29 (NKJV) says: “…You are my lamp, O LORD; The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.” When we walk in the light, with Him, He will show us the right path to take. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” — Psalms 32:8 (NLT)

Our Hiding Place

Image
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. — Psalm 32:7 (NASB1995) Yahweh is our hiding place. Therefore, let all the godly pray to Him while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. (See Psalm 32:6) The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” …unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him]; Shout for joy, all you upright in heart. (See Psalms 32:8, 10-11) “The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

Hope in the LORD

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD. — Psalm 31:24 (NASB1995) How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; (Psalm 146:5-6 NASB1995) Those who keep their hope in the LORD will not be disappointed. No matter how circumstances may appear, remember, with God ALL things are possible. (See Matthew 19:26) …as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise the LORD yet more and more. (See Psalm 71:14) I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NLT)

Be Grateful

Image
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; — Philippians 2:14 (NASB1995) In Exodus 16:2 (NASB1995), the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. However, Exodus 16:7 says they were actually grumbling against the LORD and He heard them. They grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the LORD. (See Psalm 106:25 NLT) “And we must not embrace their ways by complaining—grumbling with discontent, as many of them did, and were killed by the destroyer!” (1 Corinthians 10:10 TPT) When we look at what we don’t have, it leads to whining, complaining, and grumbling. It is much better to look at how good our awesome God is, and remember all the great things He has done for us. Doing the latter will lead to a grateful heart that continually gives thanks to God. Thank God for His goodness, His grace and His mercy. Instead of grumbling against the LORD, and questioning His providence (see Philippians 2:14 AMP), be grateful. A grateful heart giv...

Learn to Trust

Image
…All of the hardships we passed through crushed us beyond our ability to endure, and we were so completely overwhelmed that we were about to give up entirely. It felt like we had a death sentence written upon our hearts, and we still feel it to this day. It has taught us to lose all faith in ourselves and to place all of our trust in the God who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (TPT) May the difficulties and hardships we experience, teach us to trust in and rely on Almighty God, not in our limited human strength. When you feel crushed and completely overwhelmed, cast all your cares upon the Lord. He is Elohim, the all-powerful One. ... let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.  — Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)
