He Rescues

Image
Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. — Psalms 34:19 (AMP) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) Do not be anxious, nor dismayed. Yahweh, our God is in your midst, and He is mighty to save. Keep your trust in Him at all times. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him [with awe-inspired reverence and worship Him with obedience], and He rescues [each of] them. O taste and see that the LORD [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. O [reverently] fear the LORD, you His saints (believers, holy ones); For to those who fear Him there is no want. (Psalms 34:7-9 AMP)  The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous [those with moral courage and spiritual integrity] and His ears are open to their cry. When the righteous cry [for help], the...

Always Giving Thanks

Image
always giving thanks for everything to God the Father, in the name of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. — Ephesians 5:20 (TLV) O give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 AMP) ...thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! (1 Corinthians 15:17 TLV) We can thank Him that even though we go through trials and tribulations here on earth, He has already given us the victory through Yeshua. Do not be like the people in Romans 1:21-22 (NASB1995) For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools. Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15 NASB1995) in every situation [no matter what ...

Little Faith vs. Great Faith

Image
They began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “He said that because we did not bring any bread.” But Jesus, aware of this, said, “You men of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread?” — Matthew 16:7-8 (NASB1995) It takes little faith to look at and discuss what we don’t have. Instead of focusing on current external conditions, remember the goodness of Yahweh and His faithfulness to provide for His children. Understand the depth and breadth of the love and compassion the Lord has for us. Jesus asked His disciples: “Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you picked up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets you picked up?” (Matthew 16:9-10 NASB1995) Recall the good things our great God has already done. May we be people of great faith, like the centurion (Roman officer), in Matthew 8:7-9. When Jesus said He would go and heal his servant, the centur...

"Who Do You Say I Am?"

Image
Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” — Matthew 16:15-16 (NLT) In John 4:26 (NLT), Jesus told the woman at the well, “I AM the Messiah!” She left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see him. (See John 4:28-30) In John 4:42, they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.” John the Baptist declared Him to be “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (See John 1:21) In John 10:11, Jesus says: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.” Who do you say Jesus is? He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you. Don’t just settle for what others tell ...

Trust Totally

Image
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. — Proverbs 16:3 (TPT) Commit your works to the LORD, for He knows the plans He has for you. Seek His will in all you do and your plans will succeed, as you respond appropriately to His guidance. Trust Elohim. His plans for you are good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11)

Stay on Course

Image
He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, but he who ignores reproof goes astray. — Proverbs 10:17 (NASB) You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; (Psalm 119:1-5 MSG) Oh, that my ways may be established to observe and keep Your statutes [obediently accepting and honoring them]! — Psalm 119:5 (AMP)

Sure & Fearless

Image
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. — Psalm 91:1 (AMP) God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. (Psalm 46:1-3 VOICE) “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)

Act on His Word

Image
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”  But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” — Luke 5:4-5 (NKJV) Jesus may be calling you to launch out in the deep. Even if you have toiled day after day, for years, don't hesitate to act on His Word. The Message Bible says: “ It was no sooner said than done .” (Luke 5:5) Simon acted on the word of Jesus, and they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. (Luke 5:6-7) As a result of Simon’s obedience, God provided more than enough. May we continually act on the Word of God, and experience His abundant provision, which is enough to bless others as well as our own family.

He Stands with You

Image
The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NLT) Just as the Lord was with the Apostle Paul, He is with you. All others may abandon you, but the Lord stands with you and gives you strength. He empowers you to do all that He has called you to do. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) Amen.

Let the Weak say "I am Strong!"

Image
Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! ( 2 Corinthians 12:7 MSG ). When circumstances try to pull you down, fall to your knees in prayer. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. ( 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 MSG ). May we always appreciate all the gifts (James 1:17) and focus on the Giver of the gifts. Now I take limita...

Extravagant Givers

Image
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NKJV) Let us imitate our heavenly Father, Who continually gives. He pours out His love and kindness, at all times. The spout on His grace and mercy is continuously open. James 1:5 says, God gives wisdom generously to all who ask. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17 NIV). As we have freely received, let us delight ourselves in being extravagant givers, not just of our finances, but our time, talents, God's love, and grace, etc.

Set Your Affections!

Image
Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver: — 1 Chronicles 29:3 (NKJV) Set your affections on God and give Him your all. Misplaced affections on the things of this world restrict us from experiencing all that God has for us: His deep abiding love, His never-ending peace, His amazing grace... Put your whole heart into developing a more intimate relationship with our heavenly Father. Give God over and above, all that you are and all that you have.

Live in God’s Light & Love!

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. — 1 John 1:5, 7 (NKJV) May we live in the light of God, and let it brightly shine through us and touch those around us. His light is full of LOVE and abundant life. The spout of God’s love is constantly pouring His love into our hearts and upon us, each and every moment of the day. Let it continually flow out of you, so those around you can be drenched in His love. We never have to fear that our cups will run dry, because our heavenly Father has an endless supply and He will always refill them. Let all that you do be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14), as you live your life in His brilliant light.

This is the Day!

This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.  — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) This the day to rejoice, knowing that whatever circumstances are before you, our GOD is greater. No matter how high the obstacle, our Mighty God is bigger and higher. He is above all. This is the day to keep standing on God's Word and His promises. This is the day to keep loving and forgiving. This is the day to praise God for who He is and all that He is going to do in your life, this very day. Hallelujah!

Good to All

The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.   All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Psalm 145:9-12 (NKJ) The Lord is good to everyone and He showers us with His compassions, every morning. May all His faithful followers praise Him! Our heavenly Father opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing (Psalm 145:16). Let us tell about His power and the glory of His kingdom to make the mighty acts He as done in our lives known. Hallelujah!

His Desire

You are not pleased by sacrifices, or I would give them. You don't want burnt offerings. The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God, you will not reject a heart that is broken and sorry for sin. Psalm 51:16-17 (NCV) The sacrifice God desires is a broken spirit and a humble heart that is willing to obey Him. We worship God by giving our hearts to Him, with undivided devotion.

Until the Storm is Over

Be merciful and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed. Psalm 57:1 (Amp) Take refuge in the shadow of His wings, until the storms have passed. In this world we will have trouble, but we can stand confident in Almighty God, our shelter and strong tower. We ensure our safety when we stay in Him. May the mercy and grace of the LORD be upon you today and always. Love, Jackie

Touch Him

And wherever he went - into villages, towns or countryside - they placed the sick in marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed. Mark 6:56 (NIV) Jesus provides healing for all who touch Him. Reach out and touch the Lord to receive the healing you need - physical, spiritual or emotional. When you worship Him with all your heart you will contact Him and be made whole. Love, Jackie
