Be the One

Image
As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine?” — Luke 17:12-17 (NLT) Let us be the one who always returns to Jesus and gives thanks for all He has done. Be the one who gives glory to God and continually shouts His praises. Luke 17:16 (MSG) says, the healed leper kneeled at Jesus’ feet, so grateful. He couldn’t thank him enough. May we have an attitude of gratitude for all God provides, and most of all for His Presence and His love.

Moved with Compassion

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” — Mark 1:40-42 (NKJV) Immediately after Jesus spoke the word, the leprosy was gone, the leper's skin was smooth and healthy. (Mark 1:43) This leper came to Jesus. He humbled himself and kneeled down. He acknowledged that Jesus was able to fulfill his request, when he said, “You can make me clean.” May we humbly approach Jesus, acknowledge the greatness of our God and ask for His help, because Jesus is always compassionate willing and able.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) Are you willing to trust Him and take Him at His Word?

How?

Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” — Luke 1:34 (NKJV) When the angel told Mary she would conceive in her womb and bring forth a Son, her first response was to ask how. When we are presented with difficult situations, that seem impossible, our first inclination may be to ask God, how He is going to work it out. Sometimes, we even wonder when? When is that promise going to manifest in our lives. What is more important than knowing how or when is knowing WHO. We serve a great big God and nothing is too difficult for Him. With our God, the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them (Luke 7:22). For with God nothing will be impossible (Luke 1:37). Amen!

It was for FREEDOM!

Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” — Luke 7:22-23 (NKJV) John sent two of his disciples to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” (Luke 7:10). Let there be NO doubt, Jesus is the One! He is the only One who shed His blood and gave His life, to set us free from sin, death and hell. This Jesus was sent to heal the brokenhearted, and to proclaim liberty to the captives (Isaiah 61:1-2). Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36)! Hallelujah!

Do You Need a Touch?

A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. — Matthew 8:2-3 (NIV) The hand of Jesus reaches out to you today. There is healing power in His hand. Jesus is willing to help you in EVERY area of your life. Kneel down before the Lord and let Him touch you. If you need, strength, healing, cleansing, deliverance, etc., Jesus is able and willing! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus is caring and compassionate and He doesn't change. Do you need a touch from Jesus today?
