Manna for Your Morning

In the past you were full of darkness, but now you are full of light in the Lord. So live like children who belong to the light. Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. — Psalm 66:5 (NKJV) See His mighty arms that carry you through each trial and temptation. He has your name tattooed on His hand. You are the apple of His eyes and they sparkle with love for you. See His ears; they are always listening for the cry of your voice. Notice the smile on His face because the LORD takes pleasure in His people (Psalm 149:4). His heart beats with compassion for all people —the weary, the downtrodden, the lost, the found, the confused and the crazy. Now take a closer look. He is right there, beside you, ready to show you the wonderful things He is going to do in your life in the coming year. Put your hand in His and let Him lead the way.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. — James 1:5 (NKJV) King Solomon asked God for an understanding heart and God indeed gave Him a wise and understanding heart (1 Kings 3:9, 4:29). Likewise, if we lack wisdom, all we have to do is ask God, who generously gives to all. Why be confused or perplexed? Our God is all-knowing and we have His Spirit living inside of us. He knows exactly what we need to do and when, in every situation. If you don't know what to do, just ask our heavenly Father for wisdom and an understanding heart.
