In Luke 22:40, Jesus said, “ Pray that you may not enter into temptation .” Behold, for so shall the man be blessed and divinely favored who fears the LORD [and worships Him with obedience]. Our heavenly Father, gave us the freedom to choose. Proverbs 10:6 (NLT) says, the godly are showered with blessings…  Proverbs 10:6 (MSG) says it this way: blessings accrue on a good and honest life… In Matthew 5:6 (AMP), Jesus says, “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, (Romans 10:12 NIV) Always put the true and living God first in your life and you will be blessed, not only in this life but also in the eternal life. We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. — Proverbs 19:21 (MSG) Instead of getting upset and frustrated when things don’t work out as you had planned, keep a positive perspective. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). What appears to be a setback, may actually be a set-up for God to show Himself mighty on your behalf. Just as Joseph went into a pit and in prison, before he made his way to the palace, the plans the LORD has for us are good. Be assured God will do abundantly more than you could ever ask or imagine.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. — Psalm 32:8 (NIV) But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. (Galatians 5:22-23 MSG) If you want good success in all you do and wherever you go, do it God's way and at His appointed time.

God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. — Psalm 18:30 (NLT) When circumstances appear contrary to what God has promised you, know that His way is perfect. God makes no mistakes and He has not forgotten about you. In every situation, we have His Presence. And in His Presence, we can walk in perfect peace, not moved by worldly events. He will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him! (Isaiah 26:3). In His Presence, we have His protection and the resources we need to fulfill His glorious purposes for us. His Presence enables us to persevere through all that life brings our way. His Presence with us, is His greatest gift. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our constant companion. Praise God for His wonderful Presence!

As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. — Exodus 17:11 (NIV) The Israelites defeated their enemies because Moses continually held his hands up to God. We will win our battles as we continually lift our hands up, in surrender to God and in praise of Him. Lifted hands are a sign of surrender, letting go and giving our cares to God. Raised hands indicate a submission to God, His Word and His ways. We also lift our hands to worship and praise our Heavenly Father. So get your hands up and start praising God for your victory! “The LORD will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” (Exodus 14:14 AMP)

“Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.” — Psalm 46:10 (MSG) Step out of the constant flurry of activity and close a door to all the noise of the world. Let us be still and recognize that Almighty God is GOD. Draw near to Him and get to know Him, His ways, His will and His Word. Understand that He is exalted above all. He is over every circumstance in your life. If all others forsake you, God stands by your side. He is with you and He enables you to persevere and conquer all.

Hear, my son, and be wise; and guide your heart in the way. — Proverbs 23:19 (NKJV) Let us not blindly follow our hearts, emotions and feelings. Instead, may we exercise self-control and set our hearts to follow God’s way. Let's meditate on His Word, so it can trickle down from our heads and into our hearts. Then, when we encounter trials of any kind, our hearts will not fail or grow faint because they are strengthened with the Word of God. Be wise and continually steer your heart in the right direction, and your actions will take the proper course. As a result, you will reach the desired destination.
