Call on His Name

Image
I called on Your name, O Yahweh, out of the lowest pit. You have heard my voice, “Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief, from my cry for help.” You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not fear!” — Lamentations 3:55-57 (LSB) Our heavenly Father hears His children when they call  upon Him for help and He is faithful to deliver us from all our troubles. Psalms 34:17 (NKJV) says: The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. “For no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love.” (Lamentations 3:31-32 NLT) Psalms 97:10 (NKJV) says, He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek You. — Psalms 9:10 (LSB)

Our Refuge & Strength

Image
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains shake into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. Selah. — Psalms 46:1-3 (LSB) Surely He is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalms 62:6-8 LSB) He has been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat… (See Isaiah 25:4 NKJV). If you have grown weary draw your strength from Yahweh. If you are in the midst of a storm, take refuge in Him. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. (See Psalms 18:30 LSB) How blessed are ALL who take refuge in Him! (See Psalms 2:12 LSB)

A Very Present Help

Image
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. — Psalms 46:1-3 (NASB1995) When we are in the midst of troubles, trials and temptations, Yahweh is with us. He never abandons us. Not only is He our constant Companion, He is always ready to help in times of trouble. He is also our strength, to bring us through. “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” (Psalms 34:5 NLT) The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. (Psalms 34:15-17 NKJV) The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, an...

Be Strong & Courageous

Image
“Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him. With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. — 2 Chronicles 32:8 (NASB1995) Fear not! Be strong and courageous when the enemy comes against you. Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you. Our adversary, the devil, continually prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (See 1 Peter 5:8) Today, we too have Yahweh on our side, to help us. And He has already provided victory for us through His Son, Yeshua, the Messiah, our mighty Saviour! Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (See Romans 8:37 NLT) Amen.

Always Ready

Image
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude” — Psalms 46:1-3 (NLT) Not only is Yahweh able, He is also ready and willing to help us. For I know that the LORD is great and that our Lord is above all gods. (Psalms 135:5 NASB1995) I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to stumble; He who keeps you will not slumber. (Psalms 121:1-3 LSB) “He does what he pleases with unlimited power and authority, extending his greatness throughout the entire universe!” (Psalms 135:6 TPT) “The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude” (Psalms 46:7 NLT) He is faithful to deliver us from our troubles, each and every one. Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good; S...

Fear Not

Image
He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting [confidently relying on and believing] in the LORD. — Psalms 112:7 (AMP) Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments. Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous. (Psalms 112:1,4 NASB1995) The righteous need not fear a bad report. In Isaiah 41:10 (AMP), the LORD says: ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Nothing that comes our way is too difficult for our great God to handle. “Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually.” — Psalms 105:4 (AMP)

He is Near

Image
“Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (TPT) “When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God, the Holy One of Israel!” (See Isaiah 43:2-3 TPT) Don’t be afraid, anxious nor discouraged because the LORD is always near. Yahweh is the one who makes a way in the sea, a pathway in the mighty waters. (Isaiah 43:16 TPT) Nothing is too difficult for Him.

He is With You

Image
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (NASB1995) Even in the darkest valley, King David said he would fear no evil because God was with him. The Almighty, all-sufficient, God is with us today. Take a moment to reflect on that powerful fact. The One Who made heaven and earth, and set the sun, moon and stars in place, is with each one of us. The One Who gives sight to the blind and unplugs the ears of the deaf, is with us. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, in the midst of the fiery furnace, and the fire had no effect on their bodies. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke! Not only was God with them, He also set them free. They were bound when thrown in, but when the king saw them, they were loose. (See Daniel 3:23-27) Cling to Yahweh and keep walking. He will ...

“Do Not Fear!”

Image
I called on Your name, O Yahweh, out of the lowest pit. You have heard my voice, “Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief, from my cry for help.” You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not fear!” — Lamentations 3:55-57 (LSB) Call on the name of the LORD and He will hear you. In Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV), He says: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Yahweh is for me among those who help me. When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. In God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust; I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4 AMP)

Lean on The Lord

Image
“ I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order. ” — John 16:33 (VOICE) Don’t be surprised at the corruption that is rampant in the culture of this world. Know that Jesus has already overcome this world and shared His victory with us. The words Jesus spoke to His disciples is for all believers. They are encouraging words of truth, meant to keep us in peace. When you are plagued by trials, troubles and sorrows, turn to Jesus. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 AMPC) Be confident that He will show you the way through it all, and help you triumph, in the midst of your troubles. He gives you strength to endure the struggles. Amen.

The LORD is on Your Side

Image
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can [mere] man do to me? The LORD is on my side, He is among those who help me; Therefore I will look [in triumph] on those who hate me. — Psalm 118:6-7 (AMP) What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? (Romans 8:31 AMP) Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalm 27:3 NLT) All you who fear the LORD, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield. The LORD remembers us and will bless us… (Psalm 115:11-12a NLT) It is better to put your faith in the Eternal for your security than to trust in people. (Psalm 118:8 VOICE) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. — Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)

Why?

Image
Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” — Judges 6:13 (NASB1995) If you are in the midst of troubles, you may feel like Gideon and wonder why is all this happening? and where is Yahweh? May we always remember that even more important than “why” is “ Who .” No matter what we go through, we have not been abandoned. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (See Hebrews 13:5 NASB1995)  He is our help and our support. Don’t fear or be discouraged. He is with you. And He is still a miracle-working God. Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of si...

He is with You

Image
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. — Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) Fear not, the LORD is with you. Instead of focusing on the fire and the flood (external conditions), look to our eternal God. He is always with us, no matter what, and He is faithful to bring us through it all. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19b) Keep your hope and trust in the LORD. He is the One who protects and provides.

He Makes a Way

Image
But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” — Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV) The LORD is our Maker and we are the people of His pasture. (Psalm 95:6-7) We are His and He calls us by name. God says: “When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end— because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:2-3 MSG) He makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters… (Isaiah 43:16 NKJV). No matter how bleak the situation may appear, our mighty God is making a way for you. He has not brought you this far to leave you now.

We have an Advocate

Image
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. — Zechariah 3:1 (NKJV) As we endeavor to follow God, we will face opposition and accusations. Revelation 12:10 says, Satan, the accuser of the brethren, accuses us before our God day and night. But we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous (1 John 2:1 NLT). Fear not! We have already won the victory over the evil forces of darkness because the Spirit who lives in us is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Amen and Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus!
