Manna for Your Morning

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. — John 4:23-24 (NLT) The Message Bible says, “ It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration .” (John 4:23-24 MSG) Worship is not a matter of religion, but relationship. Worship should not just take place on Sunday morning, it is to be continual. Worship begins in our hearts and fills our minds. Then it comes out of our mouths and directs our motion. O come, let us Adore Him!

He knows us better than we know ourselves. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace and present ourselves as living sacrifices, being real, open and honest, and available for Him to use. We worship God as we become the person He created us to be and live in the light of His grace, truth and love.
