Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. — Psalms 37:5-6 (NKJV) Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. (Proverbs 16:3 AMP) We must respond to God's will by following His guidance, if we want our plans to succeed. All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. (Psalms 25:10 NASB1995) He crowns the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Consider your ways and thoughtfully reflect on your conduct! — Haggai 1:7 (AMP) The Word of God instructs us to examine ourselves. In Matthew 7:5 (NASB1995), Jesus says: “…first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” Galatians 6:4 (NASB1995) says, each one must examine his own work… First Corinthians 11:28 says: a man must examine himself before partaking of communion. Don’t let the world woo you into following their wicked ways. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20 NASB1995) Let us ensure that our words and actions are in alignment with the Holy Scriptures. We are to reflect the loving, and compassionate nature of our heavenly Father, at all times. It is wise for us to commit our way to the LORD. As you make your plans for the new year, do not rely on your own insight or understanding. Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].
