Where He Chooses to Dwell

And rejoice before the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name - you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, the Levites in your towns, and the aliens, the fatherless and the widows living among you.
Deuteronomy 16:11 (NIV)

In the Old Testament, God's people had to go to a physical place to meet with the LORD. In the above Scripture the Israelites were instructed to celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD, wherever He chose to dwell.

Today,  the LORD has chosen to dwell in our hearts by His Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19 tells us, our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, whom we have received from God. We have much more reason to rejoice because of our constant fellowship with our heavenly Father, who loves us so very much. We don't have to journey to a specific location and meet with God at certain times of the year. We don't have to wait until Sunday morning and meet Him at church. May we rejoice and celebrate in the Presence of the LORD, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Love,
Jackie
