No Surprises

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
1 Peter 4:12-13 (NKJ)

Don't be surprised at the fiery trials that come your way. Our adversary, the devil constantly prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. We can resist him, and stand strong in our faith, knowing that God always provides a way of escape. Just as we partake of Christ’s sufferings, we will also be full of joy when he appears again in His glory. Amen.
